Drove 8 hours to stay here for a wedding. Upon arrival, they had no record of us and had already booked out our room. I had a confirmation email from the original booking and even received an email from them confirming the stay. Their initial response was…“I hope you didn’t drive far.” After learning of how far we traveled they offered to call around and offered to pay for a night’s stay at the other b&b they found. However, when they wrote out the check it was for less than half of a night’s stay.

My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary getaway weekend. The Inn is very beautifully decorated inside. There’s no-one to greet you at the door but we found a telephone that said to call for assistance. Shortly after calling we were greeted by John, who is very welcoming and engaging. We had the Morgan Suite, which is very large, with a fireplace in the bedroom and a Jacuzzi in the bath. Very nicely furnished and decorated. Keys are only available on request, but the doors do lock from the inside. We had a private dining area for breakfast. The food was absolutely fantastic and very filling. Checkout was a bit disorganized though. We were attended to promptly, but the bill was quickly made out by hand and included an extra room and service charge of $ 90.00 which was a bit of a surprise. They also prefer not to accept credit cards and will charge you extra if you use one. Except for the surprise billing and checkout we had a very good expereince.

My husband and I recently stayed at Morgan Samuels two nights for our honeymoon. We loved the location, which is close to town but back a long driveway surrounded by farms. It’s so peaceful and quiet around the inn. We stayed in the Morgan Suite and it was amazing. The room is huge and we absolutely loved the original wood burning fireplace. John started a fire for us a couple nights before we went to bed. Breakfast each morning is fabulous. It kept us full for hours! John provides you with many different food options. Seating is private and intimate, which we really enjoyed. We highly recommend taking advantage of the seven course dinner at the inn. John is an unbelievable cook. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and three hour experience. Our only complaint(which was minor) was how unorganized check out was compared to other bed and breakfasts we have stayed at. We had booked our reservation back in May for a certain rate and a 20% military discount, which we thought was very generous. However, when we went to check out, John wanted to charge us the current rate of the room and not honor the military discount. We showed him the confirmation email and we were able to settle the ordeal. Besides that, we felt that the service was impeccable and the stay was memorable. We plan to return in the future.

Love this place. Beautiful inn, fabulous breakfast, and a resident Vizsla named Goldwyn. Our favorite room is the Morgan suite, but the Victorian room is very nice too. The breakfasts are out of this world!

We just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at the Morgan Samuels Inn where we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. We were fortunate that the weather was perfect during our late June vacation. John and Julie are the most gracious(and interesting) hosts and served us the most wonderful breakfasts and dinner. Breakfast is sit-down and relaxing(not a cattle buffet). Breakfast choices are endless and include fresh fruit, breads, unique jams and choices of pancakes, French toast, eggs or omelets. Dinner at the Inn is an exceptional seven course meal including fresh baked bread, hot and cold appetizers, soup, salad, entrée and dessert. This meal rivaled anything that I have ever eaten and we felt that we were given a private meal like royalty. Our room itself was comfortable and relaxing as were the surrounding well-manicured grounds. In the morning we relaxed with a cup of coffee watching the cows graze and enjoyed lovely pictures of the surrounding landscapes. This was truly a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend it to anyone interested at staying at a bed and breakfast. To top it all off, the price was also very reasonable.

This is being posted to warn others who may have a reservation at this Inn. While this place is beautiful and in the select registry for distinguished inns, I made a reservation 6 months ago for 2 rooms. I have wanted to stay here for the last 10 years. I decided to give them a heads up on our later arrival and found that they had made a mistake and booked only one of the 2 rooms I reserved. I have a written confirmation of the rooms, dates and costs. Instead of offering to make this right they tell me they have a big wedding the next day and suggest one of the two of us take the room and the other coup, e stay somewhere else, or both stay somewhere else. The only thing offered was that they would check out other hotels. After 4 hours I decided that’s only have 3 days left to find a place and there is a huge PGA tournament nearby. So I spent 5 hours and found a similar place 100 miles away from where I wanted to be. Suggestion… if you are staying here, call a few days before you leave to confirm. This was handled horribly and by the owner of the Inn!!!
