Went there on vacation… wow! The ice cream is delicious and huge! The kids is enough for any average person, but my hubby got the«small»…yep two giant scoops! Lots of flavored to choose from, obviously a hot spot in the area looking at the lines. Seating is sooo cute, sitting in an «ice cream cone». Place is clean, the amount of people you know the ice cream is not old. No soft serve here. Enjoy!

Still a really good ice cream shop but was better before they moved to the new location. Portions seem smaller and they don’t make the sundae’s the same anymore. It’s still a really good ice cream place right on the lake so… you can’t beat that!

THEYMOVEDDOWNTHESTREETTOMAKEWAYFORTHENEWCOMPLEX! Ice cream here is good!(They use Perry’s) however they don’t offer free cups of water, you have to buy bottled water. That is ridiculous and cheap!

Visiting scoops is a fun tradition for my family. Lots of choices, friendly service, and tasty ice cream for very little cost.

Stumbled upon this place along our afternoon bike ride today, and boy was Scoops just the thing we needed to refuel. A medium soft serve cone w/sprinkles + a large soft serve cup w/toppings came to less than $ 10. Ladies: go with the small. I promise you I was very, very hungry– for a second I debated getting a large. Thankfully I didn’t, because I could not even put away a medium. Despicable, I know! There are starving people all over the world, yet here I am tossing away a perfectly delicious vanilla soft serve cone… Jerk. The place is a nice shack, so plan to either take your oversized treat to go and eat in the car, or enjoy it al fresco on one of their round table picnic benches. That’s what we opted for, since the weather was so perfect. Only downside was the amount of gnats due to the water being across the street. Friendly staff with a heavy hand. CASHONLY.

For the price, this place can’t be beat. A small is $ 3.00 and is a very generous portion — So much so that the employees will warn you if you order a medium. They serve Perry’s ice cream and have a large assortment of flavors — roughly 12 – 20 at any given time. They also have soft serve but I have to say, it was a bit of a let down. The soft serve was full fat and was so thick and creamy that I couldn’t even finish it. Just a heads up, they only accept cash!

This cute little place used to be a Carvel way back in the day(and many locals still call it that). They serve up all the usual treats in both soft-serve and Perry’s hard ice creams. Very generous portions on the night we visited — my small cone was easily a medium anywhere else. Pretty location across from Kershaw park — get your treat and walk across to the benches overlooking the lake.
