nice little fabric store right in downtown concord. good prices, really beautiful selection. it’s pretty small and focused on quilting fabrics, so don’t expect much non-​woven, non-​cotton, or anything too strange. but walk in with an open mind and you’ll be impressed. along with fabrics, there is a good selection of thread and accessories. the owner is a real sweetheart and is very knowledgeable. just look around at the quilts on the walls and you’ll see how talented she is. also, just because it is a quilting-​focused store, she isn’t afraid to stock a few out-​of-​the-​ordinary things, like the adorable mendocino octopus and seahorse prints in bright yellows and pinks.
there is an online shop but it’s missing a lot of what they have in the store. they are in the process of updating it, but it’s a huge undertaking and so far none of my favorite stuff is up. i guess that means i need to plan another trip to concord :)
just a note: the entrance to the store is on N Main St, even though Unilocal shows it on some side street. its on the lower level of a little shopping plaza thing.
