We stopped here for a quick bite to eat upon our arrival in Asheville for a long weekend vacation. The kids meals include ice cream or shake(big plus). My mom’s Philly cheese steak was awesome, as was my cheeseburger.

been there two times. both times they were out of what we wanted. we ordered a second choice, they were out of that, so on and so forth. i finally chose something out of what they had left and it was mediocre. we decided to give it another try and the same pattern happened. they serve breakfast all day, but«couldnt serve eggs». then we ordered meatloaf, «it wasnt ready». we got up and left and wont be back.

I am not sure why this review is so different than all others unless we just hit a bad night. The 2 stars are for the friendly service and a pretty good milkshake. The meatloaf was horrible, the onion rings were horrible and the place was not clean. I was hoping to find a great diner however this is not it.

We were in Candler for a 8U tournament and tried this little gem. Everything is homemade and you cant pass up on the mac n cheese. I love finding LOCAL family run spots that put a lot of Love into their food and service. We will be back.

Keep your expectations realistic and you won’t be disappointed. If you are looking for upscale cuisine, elegant interior, or a quiet/peaceful atmosphere then you are in the wrong place. However, if you are looking for simple and delicious home cooking, a place that is filled with the sounds of kitchen activity, wait staff cutting up with patrons and each other, the owner making the rounds, and customers constantly meeting folks they know and asking how the family is… then by all means… grab a seat and place your order. The fried green tomatoes are great and my daughter would knock down old people for their meatloaf. I have never eaten breakfast here but hear only great things about it. Specials advertised on the sign out front and are diverse and change frequently.

This place is great for a bite to eat any hour of the day. The cook(probably owner) is incredibly friendly and sweet. Since it wasn’t too busy on the night we were there he came over and chatted with us for a while. I’m sure this place is cranking on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I ranked it the way I did because, unfortunately, the burgers we ordered were a little too thin and greasy. The milkshakes were delicious though! The price is right as well!

As Andrew B. Says in an earlier review Cruizer’s is exactly what it is supposed to be. Everything is home cooked and incredible. My family and I decided to try here last night after living just down the street for years. It will become a biweekly family event after the food and service we received. We walked in and the server was weeded, as over five tables walked in within fifteen minutes. She kept a wonderful attitude and worked super efficiently keeping up with everything! The food was all prepared while we waited and all vegetables included on the sandwiches were crisp and fresh. Both of my Sons ordered the chicken tenders kids meals and I have to say it was the first time my husband ever wanted to eat chicken tenders. My husband is not a chicken tender fan and says these were the best he has ever seen or tried… the batter was light and crispy, the chicken tender and flavorful, a wonderful Cruizer’s recipe. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and it was the BEST chicken sandwich I have ever had(and I order chicken sandwiches when eating out regularly.) The chicken had been perfectly seasoned and grilled tender. My husband ordered the daily special, an Open Roast Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes, again another winner. You can tell the owner came up with these comfort recipes himself. The diner has a welcoming feel. Don’t miss out if in the area, it may not look like much from the outside but the food and feel is worth the stop!

Everything was very delicious. Extremely friendly service. We were the only people there(at 2:30 pm) and the kind owner let us try some of their cake and milkshakes for free! I recommend the half pound burger. Served on a salt and pepper bun, very tasty! If you are ever passing through, I highly recommend stopping at Cruizers!

Friendly service, clearly a little Republican for my liking. I had a delicious open-faced roast beef sandwich and yummy fried green tomatoes. My wife’s French Dip had kind of a sour smell to it, so she was afraid to finish it the next day, but I can’t really say if it was bad or not. Overall, a legit little diner in Candler that’s worth a try if you want some comfort food.

This was one of those providential stops that almost didn’t happen. After backpacking with some friends in the Shining Rock Wilderness area, we attemted to find some Thai nearby. After a humorous failed attempt, we nearly missed Cruizer’s. It was honestly a last chance effort to find food, and we were skeptical as we entered, as it seemed a little janky. Boy were we wrong. We snuck in at 8:57 when the place closed at 9:00, but Chris was more than happy to feed us and keep us company past 9:30! The service here is OUTSTANDING. Not to mention the food. While we were the only ones there, the personal attention and friendly nature of the staff is clearly a staple. The food was great, and there is quite a selection, including everything from breakfast to standard diner fare, to homecooked dinner entres and ice cream to cap it off! Plus, apparently first time customers get free ice cream! Even though this place is a little out of the way, I would highly recommend taking the extra ten minutes to run down Highway 23 to grab a bite and some conversation at Cruizers. If you ever do, make sure to tell Chris that Drew, Maggie, and Briggs say hi!
