I went there all the time, had my deceased dog acupuncture there, The owner, son and I were very friendly. I doubt the cancer case since it was never mentioned. I would like them to get in touch with me. We were both going through the same financial problems Asheville offers newbes: there is no opportunity. CHEERS TO THEM wherever they are. I hope they keep in touch if they can. Aaron

this needs to be removed. moon doggies is no longer in candler. it closed a couple yrs ago. the go to now, for excellent choices for canine & cat care is asheville patton avenue pet company. that’s where moon doggies customers went. while they were open, truly a hip holistic, top of the line dog food. but, they are no longer.
: ’ (((the lady that owned it and her son helped her run the store were super cool. unfortunately she lost her battle to cancer. the worst word in the english vocabulary. she & her son are very missed here. as i live in candler. the building was converted in to a home goods type of store. maybe antiques?

This was a great pet store — knowledgeable and friendly staff, great product selection, the works. Unfortunately, it has closed.
My wife and I will sorely miss them…

In town visiting family and ran out of dog food. I did a quick google search and found this place that even my folks hadn’t heard of. So pops and I drove out and found this quiant shop right off the highway. They had a huge selection and wide variety of natural pet foods. I was looking for a specific formula of Fromm and he had just run out, but was quick to recommend another local shop run by his friend that carried the brand; he even called to check they had the formula I was looking for in stock. And what a small world. We got to talking and it turns out that we lived in the same place and frequented some of the same obscure places in the places. It was a pleasure chatting and shopping here and I know my parents are looking forward to checking out their supply of locally-​sourced food.
Definitely stop in and see for yourself.
