Typical boardwalk stuff. But I found a pretty cute hoodie and they gave me a free gift(a notepad with a picture of cannon beach on it) pretty damn cool. Hoodie was 34 bucks, not that bad. Not amazing. Lots of colors for clothes. People were polite.

After going to several places with incredibly rude service, Chillin at the Beach had GREAT service. There were 2 younger tattooed guys who were very accommodating to our vegan diets(and very honest about not being able to grill our buns because they fry bacon on the same grill). It was actually quite surprising that the younger tattooed guys had more customer service skills than the older ladies in Cannon Beach. They didn’t treat us like we were from some alien planet! It was unique in the sense that it was a little food counter inside of a trinket store, but it made the time go by easier being able to browse around. The sandwiches were decent, clean, crisp & probably the cheapest in Cannon Beach.

Ice cream and beach trips go hand in hand. And for years I’ve wandered a block off Hemlock and walked into this location. Only I’m pretty sure it was a completely different business six months ago. Instead of hand scooped delights, they just offer vanilla and chocolate soft serve. And I do enjoy a good soft serve, but for me it is a substitution for real ice cream. Come on, we’re like 40 miles from Tillamook. I want my Brown Cow and Chocolate Peanut Butter! The soft serve and coffee bar seem to be more of an afterthought in this business. They have lots of touristy trinkets so it is a hodgepodge of stuff, none of it fantastic. Note to self: Find new ice cream shop in Cannon Beach.
