HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called and verbally accepted list price of 2 used ATV’s and put a security deposit down. On the 6 hour drive to pick them up, they called and renegotiated on me. They said they won’t do the deal unless I had another $ 1,000! Not only is that terrible business ethics, it is illegal! Under the Uniform Commercial Code Statute 2 – 201. Formal Requirements; Stature of Frauds, an oral agreement is enforceable on goods under $ 500. This transaction was over $ 500 so it needs to be in writing, or have secured interest. Because I have a security deposit down, the contract is actually in ‘writing’ under this code.
But what am I going to do? Spend $ 3,000 on an attorney and sue for damages of $ 1,000? No, they know I am smart enough to either do the deal or walk away. It just floors me they take advantage of customers like this!
Even though I was so furious, I still bought them. I knew I would regret it. I rode one of the ATV’s for 10 minutes and noticed the brakes were overheating. The rotor was bright orange and wheel was hot to touch. So, I took it into my local dealer and had them check it out. Not only was one of the calipers completely shot, the primary clutch belt was shot and primary clutch was warped and not usable anymore. That was another $ 1,200 down the drain. All of these were things they said they checked when they took in in on trade. LIARS!
When I called Cannon Power Sports back, they said there is nothing they could do.
NEVER WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH LYING, UNETHICAL PEOPLE! Watch out people. Double check before you shop here.
