Advanced Photo Lab

Used them for a photo collage project for our grandmother’s 75^th birthday and I thought they did a pretty good job. I think their price is pretty descent for the quality of work that they do. As long as you know what you want and how you want it done, they’ll get the job right. Also, before they finalize everything they send you a proof of the product before printing so you can see how it’s going to look when printed.
Will definitely use them again.

I love their work. They have done numerous jobs for me and each time they have come through with flying colors. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I live in Las Vegas and had a showcase short notice in LA. I needed headshots in a hurry on a Saturday and finding a reputable place that was even open was impossible.
I stumbled upon advanced photo lab’s website, which was pretty simple to use and had an informative video to help select the proper formats.
I then checked the reviews on Unilocal which I always do and noticed a lot were less then satisfactory. Although I was a bit concerned since I don’t live there and felt awkward anyway lol I went ahead with the order. Like I said my options were limited. After making a $ 60 purchase of 50 press print headshots, I called the lab to confirm the order. The gentleman that answered was very helpful and after checking around, he confirmed my order had been received! Great :) they’d be done as early as that afternoon (Friday) but I told him Id be there promptly before they close the following day.
After a long drive and tons of Saturday traffic smh I got to the lab which had convenient parking right in front. The gentleman inside seemed to be the same one I spoke to the day before. He still requested an order number and quickly handed me my beautiful prints. Wow really nice and far better than I even imagined! Thanks advanced photo lab! I’ve already recommended your services to my peers after they expressed being so impressed with the work you guys did :) I’ll definitely be back!

I had an extremely negative experience in the ordering process, which lacks a confirmation page. The order was sent to the wrong address, which I didn’t know until I checked with USPS. In the age of Amazon, their ordering process feels 100 years old.
When I called in with the complaint, the customer service was some of the rudest, most condescending and abrasive I’ve ever received. I was actually told «I’m going to end this call now because we’re talking in circles.» We had been on the phone for no less than 5 minutes and all I called in to tell them was that my product was shipped to the wrong address. Apparently that was none of their concern.
I have not yet received my order (it has now been 13 days, and I ordered 1 – 2 day shipping), and I’m growing suspect that it will ever come.
An all-​around bad experience. Of all the printers in the country, there is absolutely no reason to use this one.

As a professional photographer I must say this facility has the skill and equipment to do unbelievable work. I had a 35 mm test strip of film on photo paper and had 1 frame of it blown up to 8×10 with almost no loss of quality whatsoever. This was impossible as far as I knew until now.

I ordered some prints from Advanced Photo Lab. My order was processed quickly and the prints are satisfactory — not great, but they are acceptable. The reason for my very low rating was the service I got when I came to pick them up. The person at the counter was rude and arrogant. When I asked him about another service, he seemed very disinterested and then quoted me a very high price. He didn’t even thank me for my business until I hesitated before I left the store. I must have appeared to be surprised at the attitude he had — hopefully he picked up on that. I’m disappointed, because I was really glad to have found a full service photo lab in the San Fernando valley, but now I’m very reluctant to use them again.

It was pain to get these guys to do anything.
I went here to get some headshots printed for a client of mine. She was a bit under pressure to get them soon, so I needed to find a good printing place nearby under short notice.
When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was that the place was a ghost town. There were two guys sitting around at the corner of the room that looked at me like I was intruding. Sorry that a customer decided to pay you for your services today, fellas! I explained that I needed a small amount of touchup on parts of the photo (increase overall brightness, smooth out minor blemishes etc). They agreed to do it, but they acted like it was a hassle, even though they advertise these services on their website! I asked them to do 2 or 3 very simple things on it, nothing big. It was ridiculous.
On their site, they advertise «free» proofs for headshots after they do their touch-​up. The customer can decide if they like the shots or asked that they be fixed before the actual prints are made. Any photo print shop should be able to do this, or at least offer this. I was not given such an offer even when I asked. The guy brushed me off and said I needed to pay $ 5 to get a whole photo printed off. Complete BS. I gave in, since I was in a hurry. Of course, the next day I pick up the print (the place is still ghost town) I found out that they didn’t make one of the changes I asked them to make. Great. $ 5 down the drain. I asked the guy if they can redo it and I get more push back, like they were going above and beyond for me at this point! I barely asked for anything! I could have made the same changes in Photoshop myself, but I didn’t have the time.
They agreed to make the change, so I decided to go ahead and order 10 copies of the final product (it was taking far too much time at this point). Luckily, when I picked up the new photos the next day, everything looked ok, but it was a wholly unpleasant experience. Would not recommend.
To reiterate:
–Very poor customer service
–Average prices
–Unfriendly
–Average photo retouching
For a place that doesn’t appear to be getting any business, you’d think the place would try to put in a little more effort to satisfy a customer (with basic needs!). Lame.

The person on the phone was VERY RUDE to me! Not professional and I would NOT recommend them.
