Great place to get your carne asada, they marinate it very well and quality of the meat is by far better than Vallarta Supermarket. The pound of meat is a little more but it’s definitely worth it!

Love this place. Good, flavorful, well seasoned food. Great prices for the area. Staff is helpful and friendly. Burritos are enormous. Large menu for such a small place. Salsa portions are small so you have to keep asking for more. Get bigger salsa cups! Free chips are nice and fresh. Like this place better than Tapitio or the Chevron Grille.

Love the pickled pigs feet and fresh salsa. Meat selection is limited but what they do carry is fresh. People are courteous and I’m always looking to support great small businesses. Food service in the back is like good home cooking!

The meat was fresh, marinated really well, and turned out incredible when we put it on the bbq! Thank you!

I just left this place and I think it was the cashier/manager or owner but he was extremely rude and told me to leave with my SERVICEANIMAL! Because there is no pets aloud even though she’s not a pet she’s a Service Animal! Witch is against the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA) after going back-and-forth with this guy telling him that a service animal is not a pet and I am allowed to bring her any where I just decided to leave because I began to realize that he’s just an ignorant moron. I will never be going there ever again. Honestly that was so ridiculous I have never been in such an uncomfortable situation before with my service animal before.(I wasn’t even near the meat/people eating I was just going to buy a few snacks) worst experience ever. Extremely disappointed in this place.

Came here to pick up Carne Asada for a BBQ. Their meat is so fresh and they marinate it on the spot for you. Would recommend to anyone looking for something better then Vallarta! Their salsa and guacamole is on point and they sell home made chips which are just as good as the carne itself! I will not go anywhere else again.

Hmmph! Was here a few hours ago for some Mexican craving satisfaction. I work literally a block away so I gave it a go. First of alllllll, it does NOT look like they sell food here. Yeah, it is a little grocery store but you would not think that they make food in the back. I could not have guessed this if it wasn’t for a friend who recommended since I was this close. Any way, the service was quick and friendly. I parked in the back alley * There is a little parking lot and an entrance through the back as oppose to parking on Sherman Way *. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the cashier, I ordered, and within 10 minutes my order was ready. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla for my co worker, 3 tacos de asada for another co worker, and some chicken enchiladas for myself. Everything looked good and tasted even better! I will definitely come back when I am in need for Mexican food or to cure a hangover, apparently. Lol. I meant to take a picture. but as soon as I thought about it. my meal was gone :/ It looks sketch. but it’s good. If you can get over what the outside looks like, give them a go!

Awesome family owned family operated business. I’ve been coming to this place since i was a small child. From a child to now its been just as good if not better. They have a back kitchen where they serve Mexican authentic food. The rear restaurant was recently added. Before the mini restaurant this establishment originally started as a market and fresh produce. They also have a big selection of meats, fish, chicken, or beef. Overall its a great place to get any last minute essentials for your household dinner or just your basic dish washing scrub. On the weekends they have special mexican dishes called menudo and tamales. Now you know if your looking for a good tasting mexican meal look no further come here. I almost forgot they have natural fruit waters my favorite is pineapple water.

Looking for Menudo? Tried this place and fell in love. It reminded me of when I used to live in Mexico. It has a mom and pop feel to it. It’s really busy and has slow service(so be nice and patient) but the menudo was definitely worth it. The menudo was clean, light, and meaty and came with tortillas echas a mano. I will definitely return to this place!

Great little Mexican market with bomb meats. They Also sell Mexican hot food. Yummie!!! I remember walking over here when I was in high school and I would always buy Hot Cheetos, peanut bags and a soda. It id family owned and the owners are super nice. Next to downtown Canoga Park and Close to the Orange Line.

Best burritos. anywhere. HANDSDOWN. And they are cheap, like $ 6. The meat is delicious, I had the carne asada for a while but then I tried their chicharron burrito and OHMYGOD it’s like Mexican heaven in your mouth. I could eat it everyday if I wanted to. It’s pretty much a little hole in the wall, the front of the store is barely recognizable from the street and the back entrance feels a little sketchy but it’s really not. To order food go to the back entrance and there you’ll find the chalk board menu and the little window to order. I highly suggest the chicharron burrito, I never even knew about chicharron burritos till I came here and tried it. try it and tell me it’s not the most delicious burrito you’ve ever tasted.

My family has been coming to this place for almost 25 years now! The market is family owned and they are always on top of things. The carne asada marinated by them is delicious and a crowd pleaser! Good chorizo as well! They also sell food you can eat there that is prepared fresh. The best deals are with the meat.

having grown up in a family with businesses, I have come to appreciate the mom and pop shops and generally go out of my way to patronize them. My mother loves the selection of products and the generally tend to remind her of stores down in «old» Mexico… but the customer service is what sets this place apart, not only are they gracious and always eager to help, but they tend to go the extra mile to take care of their customers. I’ve always experienced great customer service from them, but today I was blown away!!! An older gentleman was making a purchase and not only did they offer to take his bags to his car, when the older fella said he didn’t have a car they offered to give him a ride all the way home INTHEIRPERSONALCAR!!! who does that? sure some places have courtesy vans who drop you off, but this was one of those things you don’t really see now a days. They’ve earned my business for many years ahead.

Carniceria Rodriques is more than just a meat market or family owned«Mom and Pop» shop. They strive to deliver excellence in their service and easily gain the loyalty of many happy customers. You will notice there is something in the rear of the store. A small kitchen, but well staffed. Good tacos, good burritos and some awesome Menudo on the weekends. They are my seasonal favorite when I am looking for that Perfect Masa for the Tamales. Keep up the good work.
