First of all, the lady at the cash register wasn’t friendly. second of all, I wanted the #14 which is a burrito and taco. I asked if they could make it a chorizo… of course not. I don’t see what was so hard to do. Then I ordered the #17…a taco, with a gordita. Every place I’ve been to a gordita was fluffy tortilla like stuffed with junk. This was hard as a rock, wasn’t stuffed and wasn’t pleasant. Please clean this filthy place up, get kinder staff, better staff and maybe I’ll recommend it to others. But guess what, I’ll recommend to never coming to this location!

Well let me say I used to really like this place but you have to watch out if you plan to order the pastor burritos. This has happened to me on two separate occasions. I ordered the burrito the first time only to find out when I got home that they gave me something entirely different then what I saw roasting on the rotisserie. IT consisted of sauteed onions and bell peppers with rice and beans. This goes to an entirely different dish. I am a chef so I know what it should taste like. I thought it might have been a mistake the first time. A couple months later I went to get the same burrito but decided to dine in with a friend. When I entered the restaurant they had a fresh batch on the rotisserie that looked so good! So I ask the cashier if it was ready and she very confidently said yes. So I ordered the burrito for the second time thinking I was gonna get the pastor burrito I ordered. I sat down starting eating and they did the same trick maneuver with some pre made pork mixture of sauteed onions and bell pepper that they put on the grill to try to pass it off as pastor. This time I was pissed ! I ate few bites and noticed it tasted nothing like it should have. I got up and walked my burrito back to kitchen area to ask wtf they were trying to do? He tried to lie and said It was the same then said he was too busy to carve the real stuff for what I ordered. Then then final lie was it wasn’t ready. Which was a lie. I am a chef and I know what I ORDERED. I thought this guy was cool. I felt pretty duped or cheated like they thought I was stupid. It was a Six dollars burrito so its not a money issue. This is someones business and I am completely sure this would not be appreciated at all by the owner of this establishment.

My fiancé tried to call in an order only to be put on hold for 6 minutes, then he hung up and called back and the same lady knowing that it was us again put us on hold a second time after saying«Hold on!!» I truly heard good things about this place and by the looks of it they lack hospitality. You just lost a potential loyal customer who lives walking distance to you Taco Llama. I will be telling all of my buddies nearby to subtract this place for any Mexican food fix. Happy Cinco De Mayo.

I hate leaving bad reviews but the quality of the food the day I went was awful… got tacos de asada and the meat was hard and looking very old… the staff are friendly but they need more fresh food. Honestly I would not recommend this place.

For Mexican fast food that’s real and authentic, you really can’t top Tacos Llama. Very good value for the amount and quality of the food. I had a machaca con juevos for $ 6!

Are you hungry but you’re craving Mexican food with a fast service. Here is the place to come. I live in Sylmar and I will drive my way down to Canoga Park to get my cravings satisfied. Everything on their menu is super easy to choose from. You cant ever go wrong with a breakfast burrito topped with sour cream and cheese that is my ultimate favorite. But there AGUASFRESCASARETODIEFOR!!! the agua de fresa is super refreshing and soothing. The owners of this place are always greeting me with such a good vibe that makes me feel like home.

After a long day at work and wanting to grab a quick bite to eat I decided to opt for carne asada tacos. This place is sort of like a neighborhood hole in the wall kind of spot. I have to say that I was impressed with the quality of the meat and that I did not find any pieces of fat or tendon in my tacos. Also despite going later in the evening to pick up my order I was pleasantly surprised to find fresh made pico de gallo along with other accoutrements being offered at no extra charge.

I give this place 5 stars for the yummy Asada Torta and Flan! It’s a hole in the wall but the food is authentic and delish!

YOUGUYSAREWRONGFORMYFOOD! I seen a picture of what shrimp cocktail you serve with tomatoes and the works but why didn’t mine come with anything but juice shrimp and avocado??? Wow what a rip off … This place sucks 0 stars from me. Okay so my review for anyone willing to read this and just so I can let it be known. First off, I drove to 3 different spot before Unilocal told me to go here because of the highest reviews on finding shrimp cocktail in the area and I just want to say this was NOT at all what I was craving. It basically was tomato juice with shrimps and avocado super tomato flavor bland as well. Oh maybe like 2 baby pieces of onion. That’s all?!. I’ve never had such a dole tasting cocktail before. The place seemed like it was bomb because I often see a lot of people in there but that was my first an last time going there. Also I’m not trying to put the place down but if you hungry and have a craving for some bomb ass Mexican food your better off at Michocan… sorry not sorry. Last thing the salsa for the chips was watery and had no flavor looked bomb but no flavor to it. Just for me wasn’t good at all. The chips were alright. I know this place can do better with all the business they bring in. That’s all.

Great authentic Mexican food and carne asada fries which can be really hard to find in the valley.

Came here to fill my nacho craving and I was definitely unsatisfied. The carne asada was bland and in its entirety the nachos were not good at all. If you are looking for great nacho place, look somewhere else!

If you’ve grown up in LA then you have a tried and true taco spot and this is mine. Taco Llama never lets me down. Greasy tacos, cheap prices, and friendly neighborhood service. Sometimes you just need a no frills joint for after a night out with your friends, taco Tuesday, or a sudden gordita craving… like today. They accept cash or card and you can easily spend less than $ 10 and leave full! Pretty authentic too– Latino mama approved.

Then some reason we just wandered around and forgot about this place. But now, I’m back again amigos!

Been coming here for years. Always delicious the tacos and tortas are my favorite. Salsa red or green is self served along with other condiments. Aguas or sodas they got it. I’ve tried other places in the valley nothing compares to this place. If you ask me I prefer these tacos over king taco and I grew up in L. A eating king taco.

Was very good – filling. Its pretty clean – tables you may need to wipe down some yourself. The only thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the type of people it attracted. A lot of googlie eyed worker such a(painters etc). I don’t like going into establishment like this for that reason. I want to eat in peace not be started at as if you hadn’t seen a girl in 10 years. Other then that the food is good. Ladies you may want to take your food to go.

This is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Canoga Park that my mom has been going to since I was a kid. I recently came here for nostalgic reasons and it was just as good as I remembered. The parking lot is straight crazy, but that shouldn’t deter you from eating here. The restaurant is also pretty authentic in that it is a ‘B’ restaurant, which also shouldn’t deter you. I usually order the carne asada burrito, but this time I ordered a lengua burrito. It wasn’t the chewy texture of lengua that I expected because it had been softened by long periods of cooking. Despite that, I still really enjoyed my burrito. My mom ordered the carne asada burrito, which of course I tried because I’m fat. Good thing I did though because it was delicious. I would recommend getting the carne asada burrito here. They also give you a side of chips and you can get some pico de gallo or salsa at this condiment station. Free stuff is always nice. This place is cheap, delicious, and filling. Give them a shot.

I’ve gone to two locations of El Taco Llama and even though the Tampa one is my favorite, this Topanga location also does not disappoint. I tried the fish ceviche for the first time today and it was delicious! They give you such a big portion that you definitely need to order some chips if you want to finish the entire thing! My boyfriend also really love their Torta Cubano which I believe the Tampa location does not serve. I’m very picky with my Californian Mexican food and El Taco Llama is definitely one of my favorites!

I like this place, best part is the prices. I eat tacos and tortas all the time and I really liked the bread they used for the torta, it was almost like a hawaiian bread, sweet and soft, really went well with their meat. The chips it came with were perfect because as you eat the food pieces of the meat fall onto your plate, at the end there is a good amount of meat that you can scoop onto the chips and finish it off. Nice idea and concept. I added cheese to my tacos(as seen in the picture I posted) definitely one of the better tacos Ive had in the valley. One negative is the shopping center and parking, had to drive around in a circle a few times until one of the cars finally decided to leave for me to enter. Wont go out of my way to drive here and eat, but if I was in the area I def would stop by. 3.5 Stars –TFR
