I liked this store. I am fairly certain it has moved into a much larger, newer building but I can’t seem to find the address online for the new location. It is just down the road in Canon City, closer to the main road in a building that looks as though it was once a Western wear store or something along those lines. The old downtown location is now empty although the sign’s still up, so perhaps the move is very recent. Anyway. It was highly organized and the staff was friendly on our visit. However, the clothing was weirdly priced. You could find a really nice sweater in great shape for $ 2.49 next to a ratty faded nightgown priced at $ 5.99. Some of the men’s jeans and pants were more than ten bucks(and not name brands or new). I buy a lot of secondhand dresses but there was zilch to be found here… every dress was a grandma flavor prairie gown or a glitzy formal! The store’s changing rooms were nice and clean. I bought a great Mossimo bag, super cute and clearly never used, for $ 2.97 which was my find of the day. The religious overtones in the store were way too heavy for us, especially the loud piped-in Christian music which lent an overly dramatic air to our thrift shopping jaunt. They have a huge selection of various sodas(including offbeat stuff like birch beer) and jarred goods that are clearly from a regional company but looked really intriguing(jalapeño eggs for example). To be clear, the foodstuff is all sold up front and this store’s so clean & up to date, it has a chain store vibe.
