Homeowned, quaint, attentive and quick service, great diner-style food. Definitely give them a try.

Just your average breakfast diner, I would say it’s probably good for Canyon city. Just expect your typical of greasy spoon, you’re going to gain a few extra pounds when you’re done

Friendly & efficient waitstaff. Food only so-so, had the pecan waffle & expected more, rather flavorless. Maple syrup was too watery, didn’t taste like the real deal. Tables feel much to close one another, kinda like packed sardines. It’s a hot spot though, so expect a wait on weekends.

Really enjoy eating here, the only downside is they are extremely busy on the weekends for breakfast.

The service was good, but everything else could use improvement. The breakfast burrito was a bland disappointment. The green chile was quite flavorless and they used waxy textured American cheese. Boo!

I grew up in Canon City and remember visiting the Waffle Wagon with my parents when it was just a tiny little restaurant on the West end of town close to the territorial prison. While the location has changed over the years, the great food and generous portions haven’t. Drop by any time for great hometown food and very reasonable prices.

Good little spot to stop for breakfast In canon city if your passing thru or staying … Very friendly staff, generous on coffee… they could use creamer though instead of milk, fair price, my boyfriend ordered the«half bob» he said the eggs were cooked perfectly, sauce was nice & mild, my daughter had the oatmeal she loved it, I had a waffle … It was decent, ordered has browns and bacon on the side, the bacon was kind of dried out, the hash browns were good. All for 22 $ pretty good for what it was :)

You can’t go wrong when you come here! Excellent service and wonderful food. The staff is friendly and always happy to see you. If there is a line at the door, just wait a second it moves fast and is worth the wait! 5 stars every time!

I have eaten at 3 different locations of the Waffle House. The first was at the former Carriage house at the Robertson Manson. The second was on the HWY50 by 4 street. And the present one on Hwy 50. The food is good but far from Great. As you can see from other reviews. There are some people that agree that there are better places to eat in Canon.

We went to the Waffle Wagon for breakfast. It is a home town diner kind of place. Great food, prices are fair, staff is friendly. My husband had the Lester Special, I had the waffle with a side of sausage and an egg. I LOVE that the syrup comes to the table warm! I am giving it 5 stars for being a great family breakfast place, no frills, nothing fancy, just good food.

HANDSDOWN, THEBESTBREAKFASTPLACEINTOWN! Pros: AWESOME home-made food. Great staff. Cheap prices Cons: Not the biggest place, so places to sit run out around breakfast. Have to stand and watch other people finish their meals while your senses are being tickled by the sweet aroma of their breakfast burritos. YUMMMMMM!!! Family ran business! Best breakfast in town! Not being in the mood for the Village Inn we decided to try one of the local breakfast joints. We had seen the Waffle Wagon driving around town. It’s hard to miss. A beige brown building with the words«Waffle Wagon» painted in large letters on the side. This is a cramped little restaurant and seems to be a locals eatery. I believe we were the only tourists in there. The coffee came in a gigantic mug and was decent for diner coffee. My breakfast burrito was also decent. A sausage patty broken up with scrambled eggs and hash browns stuffed in a tortilla shell topped with green chile. The green chile was more of a gravy and had no pork or meat in it. I think there was one piece of green chile in it. My boyfriend had Lester’s Special which is an artery clogging biscuit topped with chicken fried steak, eggs and hash browns smothered in country gravy. He enjoyed it and thought it was decently prepared as well. For both our breakfasts and two beverages the total bill was just over $ 17.

My husband and I stopped by for an late breakfast before rafting. We had the breakfast burrito and juevos rancheros – both were bland and smothered in an undistinguishable, gelatinous flour-based sauce(supposed to be green chili sauce). I would suggest sticking to waffles and pancakes. Those looked good and that assumption is the only reason I gave three stars instead of one. Plus it was really cheap.

Fantastic! Went w/a friend– both of us usually go for the salty breakfasts but insisted on getting a waffle considering it’s the namesake. We were AMAZED! V. good– cheap, adorable clientele, nice waitresses– next time we will get something smothered(it all looked good). Also a good touch is the bottle of syrup being warmed.

I have a hard time making decisions on occasion. This occurs most often when I’m trying to figure out what I want for breakfast because I think it’s all so delicious. The Waffle Wagon is like a heaven sent answer to my dilemma. Are you ready for this? The Waffle Wagon offers everything they serve in halves! That’s right. You can have half of a waffle, half an order of hash browns, half an order of sausage gravy and biscuits. Whatever you want all in halves. But, only for breakfast or lunch. They close early. I ended up ordering like 6 halves and my bill was still under $ 7. Pure bliss!
