I believe the chocolate mountain cake has been the go to for almost every single persons birthday at my place of employment. I can’t think of one thing I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed. The smores bar is fantastic, the cupcakes are moist and the perfect treat :) The food, especially the soup, is great. When I know I need a cake for a special event, I know this is exactly where I will go. The cotton candy ice cream made into a milkshake will bring back great childhood memories and your taste buds will thank you!

Ordered the eggs Benedict Florentine. I did not expect to be able to count the number of baby spinach leaves in the«Florentine». The number was 10.

It’s a little on the expensive side, but the variety of sweets and cool décor makes the atmosphere worth the price. On my first trip I had a little bit of everything while I was there. I had a great pepperoni roll, followed by a generous portion of key lime pie — complete with shaved white chocolate — and washed down with an ace iced latte. On my second trip the line was crazy long which I understand because the sweets are amazing. However the intention of my trip was to get an espresso drink(in an effort to avoid Starbucks) and when I went to drink it, my espresso was quite burnt. However, my Pecan Bar more than made up for it. And my first coffee was delicious, so I’m sure it was just a flub up because they were so busy. I’m still satisfied with my trip and would recommend anyone to go for a sweet something!

Update is that it was pretty wonderful in here tonight. The coffee was 10 times better than last time… they now have a very tasty house blend. I had the key lime pie and it was delicious. My friend had a red velvet cupcake that was so impressive it looked fake(how do they get the frosting to look so perfect??). The staff was really friendly too. I’ll be back!

It has always been my philosophy that service is half the battle. If the food is ok with the service being great then I may stop in again. I was buying a few treats for my wife’s birthday. Only had am ex with me. Stephanie(she works behind the counter) gave me a$ 1 to complete my sale. And, the treats were tremendous.

The food is very good. The deserts are beautiful but sometimes a bit over the top rich for me but if you love a sugar over load this place will be a sugar ecstasy! The décor is classic hip coffee shop. Sometimes the staff can be a little unfriendly. It just depends who is working. It has sort of a New York feel. I’ve had bad experience with the cappuccino so I avoid it.

I’m sad that there are so many bad reviews on here. I’ve never had a bad experience yet. My only complaints are that the wait is usually very long, the tables are kind of uncomfortably close together, and they’re overpriced. Don’t get me wrong, their food is good, but I feel like the prices should be about 30% lower for the quality. When it isn’t super crowded it’s more comfortable, but it’s almost almost busy and cramped. I basically go here for the desserts, which are great.

I gave this place 3 visits before I posted my review. All 3 visits were the same so hence my one star. If I could give zero stars, I would have. On all 3 visits(spread apart), The tables were completely filthy. Sticky, spilled coffee. The cleanliness definitely has something to be desired. Service is just like tables… filthy. Not sure if it is the area, but the employees are extremely stuck up and rude. Unfortunately, this place will never again have my business. There is too many other bakeries that are priced better with better quality desserts in the area. I would rather travel than to step into this bakery again.

Every single table was dirty but only 3 tables were occupied. Service was sooooooo slooooowwwww. 2 enormous pieces of cartilage in the pulled pork. But the desserts looked good!

I normally have nothing but good things to say. My last visit was unappealing. I ordered the two eggs breakfast with sausage. My first bite of the sausage was cold to taste and by physically touching with my finger. I asked the waitress for another serving of sausage as mine was cold. I was brought new sausage, and it was still cold. The waitress came back and asked how my second serving of sausage was, I replied that it was still cold. My complaint was never resolved. I essentially paid for over priced scrambled eggs, cup of fruit, and a croissant. Left the location very unsatisfied in customer service and quality of food. Does the kitchen not own a thermometer and not know that sausage needs to be cooked to 165°F?

A really nice bakery café. Our local version of Panera of sorts. I thought this when I first went in as I worked at Panera at the time. Where are they better than Panera? Well, it’s a small local company for one, which I prefer. They have a MUCH larger selection of bakery items than Panera does. They really have something for everybody. This includes a flour less chocolate torte cake, which I REALLYLOVE! Panera has ZERO flour less offerings. Where is Panera better than them? Well, Bartam house is REALLY pricey. More so than Panera. They also don’t offer, or at least promote if they do, that most of their foods are organic and hormone free like Panera does. Panera still has a rewards program too. Panera also donates all unsold breads and pastries to homeless organizations each day. Everything you see was made fresh over night or during the day. NO baked items are left over from the day before at Panera. Otherwise, Bartram’s people really do try to be warm, friendly, and helpful. A few of the other bakery items I’ve tried are really good though I do try to avoid flour most of the time. They have an artichoke soup which is really good. A few of the other foods I’ve tried were just fine. I’ve had a couple of sandwich items and breakfast a few times. Good food but nothing extraordinary, at least not that I’ve discovered so far. So with just OK — good food and not being organic and hormone free I can’t see how they justify their prices. At least, again, it is a small local company. Most Panera’s actually are franchises and not corporate owned. However, in our area they are all owned by one big company from OH. Local, kind of, but small, no. If nothing else at least give it a shot. Try it a few times and decide for yourself. At the very least it is worth a chance.

Disappointed, has gone downhill from the time since they first opened. Small place, OK service, OK food but way overpriced. Eating area cramped & dirty. Tables around us remained unkept throughout our 30 minute stay. Coffee trash bin sat in front of the water dispenser – ewww! Bathroom was very dirty, even my 9 year old wouldn’t use it! I used to stop by regularly for desserts, but even their taste & quality has gone downhill. This was my last visit, ever.

Okay, so before I go on my rant– This used to be my absolute favorite place to eat for any meal– anytime of the day. Particularly Sunday’s. However, I must say the last 5 or 6 experiences at Bartram have not been even worth paying for. I usually get the omelette and my boyfriend gets the breakfast burrito. Our last few meals have been horrible. However, since this is a Sunday morning routine, we decided to give it one last chance this morning. His burrito literally came out unwrapped? It was falling apart before he even touched it. I was shocked that they even had the audacity to send it out of the kitchen like that. Needless to say, he had to eat it with a spoon. Meanwhile, the vegetables in my omelette(peppers, onions etc.) were not chopped into bite size prices, I struggled while trying to cram(what felt like) an entire green pepper in my mouth, while he spooned the burrito mess they served him into his. It was ridiculous! And the worst part is we paid $ 30.00 dollars for this?! Mediocre food, extremely expensive prices. No thanks. Not to mention there’s no where to sit, the service is lacking. There is never any coffee or creamer. It’s so unorganized. Unfortunately, what used to be my favorite spot, will no longer even be an option.

Really great French toast. Comes with ample syrup and butter on side. Also had the home fries that comes with sauteed red onion and green peppers. Coffee was rich and tasty. Lots of seating for a small place. Only complaint is that store front is all window, which is nice, but hard to find a spot outside the blinding rays of sun! A blind of some sort should do the trick.

Overpriced for what you get. I asked for fries instead of chips and it wasn’t until I got my receipt that I realized they charged me for the chips AND $ 4 for«boardwalk fries.» Which are essentially frozen steak fries that taste like they were deep fried and probably left under a hot lamp for about 45 minutes before served. The Philly Cheese Steak was really good, but not worth $ 9.99 plus the cost of the fries. My coworker got a Filet Salad and we assumed that she would be charged the lunch portion which was $ 9.99 but she was charged the $ 13.99 price instead. There was about a pound worth of blue cheese on there and hardly any filet. Now onto the deserts. I had the pumpkin cheesecake and it was mediocre at best. My coworker had the Chocolate Cake with Italian Buttercream which was bland and tasteless. Service was also lackluster. We stood around for 10 minutes before anyone came to help us. Employees were walking around and doing anything but helping us. My verdict is to pass on this place. I’m all for buying local when the product is there and I haven’t seen anything worth it here.

The cupcakes and macaron cookies are great! I got a friend a birthday cake from here once, and it was great but a little too expensive. Service is usually good and reliable. Nice lunch menu as well.

Pretty sure the pear chicken salad I ate was one of the best salads I’ve ever had. All the flavors were great, so much so that I didn’t need to add the dressing! Tried 3 desserts and all were great… Key lime pie, flour less chocolate cake, & chocolate sugar cookie. Also had a fantastic spicy sausage tortellini soup. I’m an out of town guest and coming back tomorrow for breakfast! So happy I found :)

Love this place. A perfect spot for lunch, snack, a treat or just coffee. They have a fair amount of vegetarian options and plenty of seating. Bathrooms are clean and it’s also kid friendly.(Now that I have a kid I tend to look at that when before I couldn’t care less). The baked goods are super good and the location is perfect.

The cupcakes are AMAZING! My fiancé and I each enjoyed one while sitting at the little tables then we went back to the counter to get four more to take home. Yum!

Get an omelette. They veggies are so fresh and it’s such a huge yummy breakfast. My mother and I each got a different kind & both rocked. You get your own water and coffee, and they’ll gladly give you a To Go cup when you leave. The women working were so friendly, just flirty enough and pretty… not a bad deal.
