Went here for a quick bite to eat after helping a friend move. The atmosphere is very much that of a hunter’s place. Lots of stuffed animals, which I don’t necessarily have an opinion about or really care as that is the type of place the menu reflects. However, the place stunk. It smelled of a taxidermy shop, which skewed my appetite a bit. Okay, a lot. Could not get over the smell.
The food was not too bad. The steaks were cooked to order. However, the seasoning used was barely noticeable and the steak had very little flavor. By far the best part were the French fries– which is not what I usually go to a steak house for. Overall, I was not overly impressed.

Very slow service and the service we did receive was less than accommodating. The food was below average and the only reason I gave it two stars is the beer selection (if you can get someone to serve you) and the exterior appearance.

The outside of the restaurant is gorgeous. Beyond that ., eh. The steak was, in spite of the restaurant ambiance, tough. The a1 sauce made it bearable. The service was fine. The furnishings inside are bowling alley style. I picked the place based on the outside appearance but was disappointed.

I would avoid Big Racks. The Service is SLOW. Very Slow and our waitress hardly checked on us the entire time we were there. The food was mediocre at best. I got pulled pork nachos and the pulled pork was barley warm, the cheese had been melted but was cool when I got it and I have made better nachos at home for much less than what they were here. The other food at the table was only just warm and again mediocre. My wife got a steak and it was some of the cheapest quality meat that I have seen in a long time. Honestly I would save your money and don’t waste your time a Big Racks. There are much better places to eat in Canton and for much less money.

Save your money and dine elsewhere. My wife and I ordered raspberry tea to start off our supper. It was the worst raspberry tea we’ve drank. Had the server bring us
regular tea instead. We then ordered the steak and shrimp plate. We both asked that our steaks be grilled medium well. My wife got a salad and homemade chips. I got the steamed vegetables and the garlic red potatoes. My wife’s steak was cooked medium rare and the homemade chips were extremely greasy. My steak was also medium rare, the garlic potatoes were over salted without even a hint of garlic. The rest of the meal, the salad, shrimp and steamed vegetables were mediocre at best. An absolute waste of money and time!

The hamburger I got was absolutely delicious! It was perfect in every way, the meat was just the right texture, temperature, taste, everything. The side of mashed potatoes was amazing also. Same perfection as the burger. The other people at my table loved their food as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better dinner, service was great, food was perfect, and they even gave us mint chocolates with the bill. Amazing.

Ordered the filet, sweet potato and a side salad — and a large Bloody Mary. Everything was tasty. The atmosphere is very casual with a lot of taxidermy! There is a nice bar off to the side of the restaurant that had a local live singer. I’d go back if in Canton and wanted a good steak.

First of all, I get the huntin and fishin theme… but the name alone turned me off from the beginning. I finally gave it a go and it turned out ok. The menu is very cleverly themed for the kind of customers they have in this area. There was a big, all american menu of items to choose from including steaks, burgers, and plenty of sides. I opted for the turkey burger and potato medley. Both were fine, nothing special. I do love the building and the view over the pond though! Keeps the place feeling super classy.
