We live close to here and frequent it regularly. We like that it has such a community feel to it and that the food is good — not fantastic but good. I do like the wings — some of the best I’ve had. My wife often orders the field salad. The German food is excellent. It’s a specialty as the owner is from Germany. In fact, they do an all-you-can-eat smörgåsbord(that’s European for«covered dish») in October. Their beer list has some good German choices, too. But, all that is moot, because they’ve sold to another restaurant and will close soon. The new place will open in February(so I’m told). I don’t know if it will keep the same name.

Friendly folks earned this place an extra star. We went for lunch and were disappointed by the slim menu selection. The prices were on the high side. My biggest complaint is the extremely SLOW pace. We waited too long for the food we got and the place was practically empty. We won’t be making a special trip back.

The Corner Café has become our go to Friday night place. It’s a relaxing place to unwind. The inside of the café is very warm and cozy. It’s kind of like sitting in your Aunt and Uncle’s basement in the 50s. The German food is very very good — not the best I’ve had — but very good. I would give it a solid B+. The wait staff are great and very friendly — as is the owner. The German beer selection is really good and reasonably priced. It’s a family oriented place and it’s nice to see a local crowd when I return. The overall experience is why I rate it 4 stars.

Came here last Saturday night to hear my cousin play with the Owl Creek Band. The place is pretty good sized, with a large room in the back where the stage is. The band was awesome! The food was… ok lol. Do NOT eat the«Louisiana shrimp» on the apps menu. There was nothing Louisiana about them. They were soggy and reeked of old fish. The burger was ok. Hubby ordered off the German menu and I didn’t try any of it. I more than likely won’t be back because its just too far from my house & the food doesn’t warrant it. But if my cousin ever ends playing here again, I’ll come by and support da fam :)

The food was mediocre and the price is way out of line for the quality of food. When you are paying $ 15 for a dinner you expect a very good meal and it was mash potatoes from a box and the burgers were frozen patties. It is a local hangout and stays in business from the social connections more than the meals. We won’t be back.

Warning do not come here for anything but the German menu. The German food is great with big portions. I strayed once from the menu to get a horrible excuse for a steak.

Family owned and operated. German food is their specialty and as someone who travels to Germany frequently, it’s on point. Friendly staff and the imported beer choices are always refreshed and interesting. Burgers and sandwiches are pretty good too. Ask to see the mini car in the«back room»

Went there after seeing it so many times and it was great. The service was excelent the burger i had was very good and the onion ring app was hot and delicous. Only fault we found was that there salads were practically frozen and not very tasty

Hadn’t been here in years and decided to five it a try again. Louisiana shrimp app was pretty good, but should of been done with a larger shrimp instead of popcorn style. Heard the prime rib was good and it was. Not the best I’ve ever had, but it more than passes, Nathan ate this. I had the gypsy style country fried steak. I was a country fried steak topped with sautéed onions and multi color peppers with mashed potatoes. It was good as well. We’ll definitely start eating here more often.

We passed by here so many times I can’t count. Our son bought a house about 3 miles away so we were passing it twice a day for which seemed like forever. We finally stopped. Gosh… I wish we did a long time ago. They advertised on their sign«Best Wings in Town»…now our waitress did say they were the best in Lathemtown for sure… which I am ok with. We had wings and they also had money saving deals under $ 6. I had a full country fried steak with potatoes and beans that was great. The wife had a burger and son had a chicken sandwich. All Good. We went again and it was just as good. Service was great and the beer choices are decent. Will try again when they have entertainment on a Saturday night.
