CSE Federal Credit Union

This credit union will do anything they can to charge you fees and keep you down. I just deposited a payroll check then asked for some back and without bothering to tell me they charged me an overdraft fee because the check I just deposited isn’t available until midnight!

They are so rude at this branch! I honestly avoid going there if I can help it, preferring the Whipple Ave. branch instead where they are very accommodating and friendly. On my most recent encounter with them, I worked with a loan officer for an auto loan at this branch thinking it would be the most convenient one to use seeing as how it is closest to my house. Due to conflicting work schedules between the loan officer and myself, the only day I could stop in to finalize paperwork was a Saturday (his day off). I was specifically told that everything was ready to go and would be able to be finalized by a different loan officer that was working that day, all that was needed from me was a signature and insurance confirmation. Well when I stopped in, right off the bat neither of the loan officers working that day would assist me, and quite frankly were very rude and unpleasant with an attitude (as was the teller), before I even began discussing why I was there. They pulled up my information and told me that only the loan officer I was working with could finalize the paperwork, claimed no knowledge of being asked to work with me, and wouldn’t even try to contact my initial officer to try to straighten the situation out. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me and I would just have to wait until Monday when my officer was back in the office. I at that point had to contact the car dealership and reschedule my appt, to finalize the purchase with them. It was a lot of needless embarrassment and frustration and was the last time I have been back to that branch. If the interest rate on the loan I was getting wasn’t so low I honestly would not even consider continuing any business with this credit union.
