Days Inn Canton

This motel was the last accommodations option for us on a last-​minute Canton trip. Literally nothing else was available. Shabby would be a good way to describe it. Went to check in and the couch was dirty, the free continental breakfast area was about 8 square feet with only 2 tables, there was no toilet paper in the shared mens/​womens restroom. Our room had stark white walls with no décor, an ancient box tv, and a grungy arm chair. The bed was a king size and was comfortable enough, with plenty of pillows. The iron didn’t get more than 10 degrees hot and was thus useless. The vending machines were completely sold out. Our stay was quiet, which was nice. Our friends had a room next door, yet they had a flat screen mounted to the wall and more décor… so not every room is equal here. I’m sure First Monday weekends all prices get jacked up, but it was still frustrating to pay $ 180 for such a complete let-​down of a room.

Got checked in. Front desk clerk was great. No issues there. When I got to my room it looked ok. It’s a Days Inn. They’ve gone down hill fast in the last few years. Floors were dirty. Bath tub had long black hairs in it. Towels had what looked like blood stains on them. And the shower head is only 4.5′ off the floor of the tub. If your a midget that’s great. I’m 5’9″. I had to take a squatting shower.
No thanks. Never again.

Great hotel with clean rooms and nice morning breakfast. Helpful employees including the housekeepers.
Would stay here everyday if I could. ;)
