The place looked so festive and colorful. Unfortunately that’s where the fun ended. Our waitress seemed to have too many tables and was running all over the place and she didn’t seem to have much training. I ordered one of their margaritas which are over $ 10 each. All I could taste was the mix. Nothing else. I told the waitresses that it was not good and she reluctantly took it back then came back and said that the manager said that if I got another one just like it that it would taste the same. I ordered another kind and when it finally came. It tasted pretty much like the first one. I have had Many margaritas and I can tell a good one from a bad one. Not sure they put any alcohol in them. The bright note was the ref refried beans and rice. Loved them. I hope the manager sees this and makes some changes.

Solid & consistently good Tex-Mex with a full bar & large televisions. Great bar spot for younger generation while also having ample space to accommodate families as well. Free chips & salsa for appetizer & free ice cream for dessert make this a family favorite. They will also accommodate food allergies. Fabulous chicken tortilla soup, homemade tortillas & great Mexi rice. There’s something for everyone one the menu so don’t worry if the whole group doesn’t want Tex-Mex.

It’s fine. But not a 4 star average restaurant. They have recognizable Mexican classics. I’m not a fan of the salsa. It has the consistency of ketchup. Here’s something silly, the very very bright overhead lighting made you look too hard at what you were eating. Like a microscope. For some reason it effected the way things tasted.

I have gone to this restaurant two times, and both times the service was terrible. We waited 30 minutes for a table on a Thursday evening. When we set down, we were immediately given chips and salsa, which was nice, but it took another 15 minutes to get our drink order taken. When the waitress arrived she said she was slammed and overwhelmed. It took another 30 minutes to get our food, I ordered the steak ranchero for $ 19.99. Although the food was good, I felt the portion was very small for the price, and the shrimp were so spicy I couldn’t eat them. After we ate, we waited another 30 minutes to get our check, throughout the meal we asked for tortillas and a To-go container, both of which were never brought to us, my daughter also never received a refill on her drink. Overall it was not worth it.

Moving to the area & here in canton for trade days so thought we would try something new. Place wasn’t busy at all for a Thursday at 12:30. Food was not bad but not spicy either. Seasoning was mild & we prefer heat rather than mild. Cheese dip was real cheese & not some can or packaged stuff. Would hav been nice if they served extra jalepeno, onion, ect mix on side of plate that can be added to give cheese a extra kick. Husband & I both thought it was a tad overpriced. 13.99 for chicken seems more like a dinner charge. Lunch menu was nothing to brag about.

The most amazing cheeseburgers I have ever had. This burger is a must try. I have never had one as fantastic as this one.

We were there at 2:00pm on a Sunday with a party of five. The four(yes four!) teenage hostesses gave us a pager to wait and we were the only party waiting. We could see three available tables from front door. That was the worst part. Server was great, food was delicious and the portions were huge! Best part was the free ice cream cones!

Horrible service. Waited 40 minuets for a table along with 4 other parties because there were tables that were not getting bussed.

Stopped in here after leaving trade days. It was a bit of a wait, but not horrible. You can snack on ice cream while you wait! The green sauce is AMAZING! There were three of us at the table, let’s just say we finished 5 bowls of that stuff and still got some to go! It’s that good. I got the chimichanga-a little cheesy for me but good. Their charro beans come w ground beef in it-that’s a first, still good though. Would def visit here again.

There was a bit of a wait, even though maybe a forth of the restaurant was filled. The waitress was polite but didn’t seem knowledgeable of the food. I ordered the brisket tacos, I ask if there was BBQ sauce on them and was told no, there was and I couldn’t eat them. My daughter said the meat in her burrito was to spicy and didn’t eat it.2 of the 4 meals ordered were not edible. The fresh tortillas and ice cream after the meal were hits with my children so that was a plus. I would however not go out of my way to eat there again.

I loved this place! I will stop here everytime I come to Canton! They had hot sauce and an quacamole mixed with sour cream? I don’t like quacamole but I thought it was a nice extra touch. I got the beef quesadillas. The beef was tender and very flavorable. It was a Friday night on first Canton Days. We had to wait but it wasn’t too bad. They sat our large group in a reasonable amount of time. Our waiter was very prompt and did a great job! He even let us pay by separate checks.

The El Dorado fajitas and the Carne Asado were amazing, with just the right amount of kick. The tortilla soup needed more chicken, but the flavor was great. I would pass on the queso(no flavor), and I would pass on the $ 8 sangria margarita(weak). However, the service was outstanding; I will be back!

Ok so our experience was hilariously awful, mostly because we were delirious after a very long, very hot afternoon in the heat of the flea market. My first clue this might be an… um…entertaining experience was the ice cream station. The cone dispensers cause extra cones to fall out of the dispenser when someone takes one. Instead of finding a better solution, they just have a trash can under the cone dispenser. Every time someone takes a cone, a few go in the trash can. We were brought chips and salsa and a white sauce first(when asked about it, the server said«I don’t know, it’s some kinda sauce»). After about 15 minutes with no drinks, I decided to start the stopwatch. While watching table after table get served, we asked the server at the table next to us if she would help us. I expected an «OMG I’m so sorry, let me get you some drinks!» Nope, we got an «Um I’m not your waitress, I’ll go find out who is.» Guess who never came back? 12 minutes later we finally got our drinks because another server actually felt sorry for us. The food: no bueno. My enchilada was covered in what appeared to be a Kraft single. My husband’s sizzling fajita steak was bloody. And we were charged 49 cents for a limp bowl of lettuce that didn’t make it to the table until after we were done eating. We didn’t want to have to explain why we didn’t want to-go boxes so we just pushed our food around our plates a bit. You may be wondering why the review is 2 rather than 1 star. Well… the salsa and the mystery sauce was good.

I’ll first say we came here during the dinner rush. So I knew there would be a wait to be seated and food to be served. Don’t be in any hurry when you come around 5:30… Dinner is going to take time here. While waiting we went over to the bar area for a margarita.(Canton is in a dry county so you have to get a membership. No charge just a process) Save yourself the money… patron top shelf not worth it and the bartenders are painfully slow. Their house margarita was way better for less than half the cost. After being seated we both ordered the«James Dean» plates. Food was good, nothing was outstanding, just average Mexican fair. Wait staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Complementary ice cream at the soft serve machine was a nice surprise at the end of the meal.

Great service and great food! We were in town from south Texas visiting family and ate there tonight. Sage, our waitress, was amazing. Great suggestions and took my special order without a moments hesitation. Checked back often but didn’t disturb us. Would highly recommend! I had the spinach enchiladas with the green sauce instead of sour cream sauce. Yes Sage… the extra hot hot sauce was great in the beans and mixed in the green sauce too! Thank you for suggesting!

This place had a little bit of a wait but no complaints from me because we stopped in on our way back to Dallas and it was a nice little break. The hostess at the front seemed to hate their lives but that’s none of my business, thankfully they weren’t servers. Our server was a super friendly man. I ordered a combo with chicken tortilla soup and a chicken soft taco. I was pretty disappointed in the food. The tortilla soup didn’t resemble anything Texmex or Mexican at all, it tasted like chicken soup. My chicken soft taco also resembled something I could have made at home but with less flavor. I did like the Mexican rice and the fact that they brought fresh warm salsa and everyone gets their own, that was pretty cool. I did like the décor and would probably go back for something simpler like nachos.

Let me start off by saying. this place is huge! It is so spacious! I think it’s a fairly new location, and was packed! It was a little loud, but with the facility being so big and the décor being bright and fun it meshed well with all of the noise, it wasn’t an annoyance! We stopped by this place late one night on our way back to Dallas. The menu had Sooo many options to choose from, I wanted to order like 3 plates just to try it all(luckily I found one in the Dallas area and will for sure go back!). When you first set down, like most Mexican restaurants they serve you with chips and salsa… but at Jalapeño Tree not only do you get chips and amazing salsa you get an even better avocado salsa! I was hooked in the first 10 minutes of being seated. I ended up narrowing my choice down to The Elvis Presley Plate. This plate was packed full of rice, beans, crunchy beef taco, soft cheese taco(let me tell you… this had my taste buds wanting an entire pan full of them!!), fajita meat and grilled veggies(with an awesome spicy fajita dip)! To top this hefty plate of Tex Mex goodness you get the choice of an appetizer. I got the queso puffed taco, it was pretty good! I’m so glad I was able to find one close to home so I can try a variety of their awesome menu!

The food is pretty good, however, our entire experience is terrible because our waitress is being a complete jerk. She’s impatient, rude, and demanding, forgetting that we are the customers. We haven’t even ordered the main course yet because she is continually difficult on our orders. Do something about your service or expect similar reviews from other patrons.
