Non responsive to multiple e-​mails to Drew Paris and Jay Barnard. Could just be badly configured e-​mail since it seems like they are more hands on, face to face. Nothing wrong with that.
Friendly, helpful service advisors. Walk you through and throughly explain everything. Always busy in the morning. If you leave your car or come in the afternoon I think you’d be better off unless you can work remotely or have time to hang out and eat bagels and have delicious Green Mountain coffee. :-)
Did a great job reseating the oil pump that had vibrated its way loose after 80k miles and was dripping oil on exhaust which made a burning smell. Too bad it was actually only one of the issues the car was experiencing.
However, Diagnosing intermittent brake issues like a sticking caliper are really hard to see until the point where your pads are worn off and the rotor is damaged. Too bad Mitchell Subaru hasn’t figured out how to diagnose that sort of issue sooner. They would have made money on a brake job when I took it to them for an intermittent burning smell and engine revving that was still happening even after they fixed the oil pump, but instead went to a competitor when the problem got worse and was more apparent. I see a real area of improvement there. They are leaving serious money on the table.

These people have been consistently easy to work with, effective in their service and repairs, clear in their explanations, and friendly in all dealings. They serviced my wife’s last two Subarus. Now I am tempted to trade my Prius for a Subaru just because of this dealership.

The car was delivered to them with a scratch on the rear door and they took care of it right away at my convenience and it looks good as new, you would never have known it was there in the first place. Prompt, friendly service. I was told my car would take 2 hours and it took 1 ½ hours. They found a nail in my tire and repaired it. I would have had a problem if they hadn’t found it.

Mitchell Subaru consistently makes the 1.3 hour drive for regular maintenance well worth the effort. Most recently, because they were out of a less expensive replacement item, they installed – under warranty – a better widget. Awesome! This sort of treatment, plus timely service and convenient loaners will keep me coming back.

I especially want to commend Ogden and Vinny in the Mitchell Subaru service department. I trust their judgement. I also appreciate how much the Mitchell family has contributed to making Simsbury a wonderful community.

Excellent customer service. These guys are great, I took my Subaru here to be serviced and they were all very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. They did not try to up sell me which I appreciated and they had my car ready at the exact time I needed it back. They are punctual and customer service oriented. I did not get my car from Mitchell Subaru but when the time comes I wouldn’t be afraid to deal with them.

The service department is appallingly unprofessional and untrustworthy. After confusion and delay when arriving for a scheduled appointment (they seemed to run the place as first come first served, ignoring service appointments), they charged 2X the quoted amount for brake fluid replacement, and diagnosed an oil leak as a $ 1800 head gasket replacement. Another highly reputable mechanic subsequently determined there is no head gasket leak, rather charged me $ 40 to replace an oil pressure switch. Mitchell also quoted over 2X what another dealer charges to make a duplicate remote key fob. I WILL NEVER let them touch my car again.

Our salesman, Josh, was informative, knowledgeable, courteous, easygoing, and available, but never pushy. It was a No-​Pressure sale that I would do again in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone looking for a Subaru, or a quality used car.
Most important to me, they were fair. The price was fair, the negotiations were almost non-​existent, and the language of the paperwork was presented clearly, and they gave me a fair, honest price on my trade-​in.
Josh, along with the manager Jason, went over several options over the course of 3 trips to Mitchell. They gave us prices on a used car and two different new cars, and presented each with the two different trade in options we were considering. The whole thing could not have gone any smoother. I thank our salesman Josh, and the entire Mitchell team.

Great dealership. I bought a ’13 Legacy in March, working with Josh and Nick. They made life easy and worked around my hectic schedule. I have a minor issue with the car that will be taken care of later this month. I’m assuming the service experience will be just as good as sales.
One negative would be their email communication. My schedule is fairly tight and it is often easier for me to fire off an email than to make a phone call. I’ve emailed more than one person in the dealership and never received a response. Josh assured me that their email server has been giving them issues, and I think he’s being stragith foward, but don’t expect to hear back if you aren’t willing to pick up the phone.

My experience was fantastic. Jay in sales was a pleasure to work with. He went the extra mile to explain the vehicle and pricing options. When they could not locate the model in the color I wanted the got me an outback with the remote start for no cost. I wasn’t expecting that at all.
I am very happy with Mitchell and would send any friend or family member to Jay for a best in class sales experience.
It’s my first Subaru and am already contemplating trading in my wife’s escape for another outback.
