Page & Son Store

Old school convenient store & bait shop on the north edge of Lake Allatoona near the Etowah river. Page & Son is my corner pull off to pickup crickets, worms, and occasionally some fishing gear before taking my Gheenoe boat down to Fields Landing for a morning of catfish & bream fishing in the lake and river. The store usually opens at 7am, and is occasionally still open at 8pm when I am returning. Always a friendly hello, and a staple offering of sodas, candy, and fishing bait.
One time I decided to get my kids out of the house at the last minute, and go for a quick outing at Fields Landing. I whipped into Page & Son hoping he would have everything I would need. Sure enough he had a small bag of charcoal, lighter fluid, matches, a 12 pack of sodas already cold in the cooler, and crickets chirping up a storm in the back room. Join that stuff with the wieners and buns I had brought from home, and we had a high olé time on the banks of Allatoona catching bream, drinking cokes, & eating grilled hotdogs. Fun times, great memories thanks to Page & Son!
