Please do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. Maria is deceptive, dishonest and does not deserve anyone’s business! And if you are brave enough to do business with her, use a credit card so you will be able to make a dispute after she refuses to give your money back.

Purchased a Living Social coupon for $ 35.00 to get a credit in the store for $ 125.00 at Red Gate. My husband and I went there on 12−9−13. Maria the store owner informed us that we could not use the living social coupon on consignment pieces or sale items. If we wanted the sale item we would have to pay the full price. Keep in mind Living Social coupon said nothing about those restrictions! Maria kept telling me that she could get any furniture we wanted like Ashley Furniture. I told her that 1. Not a fan of ordering through catalogs, like to touch and feel my furniture! 2. The brands she kept saying she could order were not what I wanted. I provided her pictures and part numbers of Thomasville furniture that I would like for her to «save me thousands on» and she wrote back a hard to read email and said that Thomasville needed the item numbers and unfortunately could not get me what I wanted. I contacted Thomasville and forwarded them the emails. They had no problem with the item numbers I provided and the pictures were clear according to the rep. I’m not sure what game the owner of Red Gate is playing but I’m not in. I contacted Living Social and had my initial money refunded to me. I sure hope the other 19 that purchased reads this and does the same. Life is too short to deal with this woman.

If you value and expect ethics, morals, and a positive customer service experience, DONOTDOBUSINESSWITHREDGATEHOMEFURNISHINGS. We placed a large order in May of 2013 for multiple rooms. We paid the full amount up-front, which Mrs. Osborn cashed the next day. After several calls starting at the end of June to get a definitive date, we were told all items would arrive on the 19th of July. We received a call at 8:45PM on the 18th from Mrs. Osborn, stating that the manufacturer did not submit the order, and it would be another 6 – 8 weeks for delivery.(By this time, we were living in a new home, with no furniture) Based on this terrible experience, we stated we wanted our money back and we would take our business elsewhere. This was July 19th, and it is now the end of Oct., and we still have not collected our full refund, forcing us to now take legal action. Additionally, if you think I am exception to the rule, I have found(4) additional customers, all who have had similar experiences. This was THEWORST experience we have ever had with a retail establishment…

Do not do business with this company. After verifying that Red-Gate collected 100% of Sale price up front to order new chairs, they did not order them from the Vendor. For over three weeks the vendor contacted Red Gate for Payment before order would be fulfilled. After confirming this issue and speaking with owner, she became unprofessional and threatening. She has been sending threatening text messages to my wife’s cell phone for the last hour. There are Red-Flags all over this company. If messages do not stop, then a police report will be filed. Shop at your own risk.
