Cledus Reed began the funeral service that still bears his name in 1946. It is the highest ranked local funeral home in Canton and all of Stark County. They have a spotless reputation and although there are many other funeral homes here, they handle more than any of the others combined. I’ve never heard a bad word about the Reed family. I am sorry the previous reviewer had a problem. It underlines the need for pre-planned and pre-paid funeral arrangements in today’s world.

Where can i start? BEWARE. First of all go to the web and find out what really happens in funeral home dealings. It is very much like dealing with a used car salesman. We had very little money which we explained up front. The cost started at $ 7500. No Way. Needed Catholic funeral so creamation was not a viable option for the family. With the info from web we knew we had options. First we left there and got the casket and vault for $ 900 instead of 2500(their lowest price) They have a 50% or greater mark up on these items and were unwilling to drop their profit. We then deleted a lot of the excessive cost of their services. We finally arrived at $ 3000. + $ 900 for casket and vault. Yes $ 300 cheaper for the same events! Just like buyying a used car. Educate yourself early and save. The death industry is geared to profit on your sorrow.
