I was there today and had a bug in my salad I’m nauseous now and would not recommend anyone eat there unless they want to die of food poisoning

We have not been to this restaurant since the new owners. We will not be back. The portions were small. Our young waiter was spending too much time talking to his friends. We felt that every time we wanted something, we were bothering him. I ordered boneless chicken and that was like shoe leather. We did not even tell the waiter. My husband ordered the veggie combo. plate and it was very bland. The salads were too oily. Also, we just got plain pita bread. Most Middle Eastern restaurants have fresh baked bread. My son’s shrimp dish was overcooked-tough and chewy. For the prices of food that you paid, it surely was not worth the money. We will not be back. There are plenty of other Middle Eastern restaurants that can provide good service and good food. We were all very disappointed.

I was sad to hear that the ownership had changed and it shows. The portions used to be large and the food was very good. I’ve tried the food since the change in owners and you can see a vast difference. Now I’m on the lookout for a new middle eastern restaurant.

Lost a customer in myself and my coworkers after changing management. The quality of their food used to speak for itself. There was no need for gimmicks like post pictures of our food on Unilocal for a 10% discount. You could walk in and the restaurant would be filled with the smell of food. Not so much anymore. We’ve ordered one of our usual everything over time, after the management change, and all of them have changed. Some ingredients have been taken away or added that weren’t necessary to enhance flavor or cut back on price for the restaurant obviously. As small as a difference that it seems, components like bread and garlic don’t come standard with orders anymore. Not to mention you only get the good bread when you order in. The to go pita is very dry and cardboard like. Not worth paying for at all. I guess all the old cooks left or stopped giving a damn in the transition as well. Something as simple as the cook on the chicken of my fattoush is now watery, like really a pool of water in my to go container, and doesn’t hold the bold flavor that it used to. I suppose if you’ve never been here before the change in management you could accept their food as the usual and maybe like it. Knowing better and knowing this as the new normal has turned me off as a customer.

Stopped in after work for dinner with my husband. The restaurant was extremely clean with nice white tablecloths. We had tabbouleh, hummus, and baba ghanous. They were all excellent fresh and tasty. For the main course my husband had Ghallaba and I had lamb chops. My chops were well seasoned, very fresh, and perfectly prepared medium with a great flavor! The rice was great too. My hubby said his food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for either lunch or dinner. Oh by the way the service was perfect. We will be back!

Good food, but a flawed restaurant. No alcohol of any kind on the premises and no permission to bring any in due to halal law. The restaurant is also wanting in hot sauces. They use American hot sauce rather than classic mid-eastern spiced sauces. Probably wouldn’t go back based on the above comments.

Nice looking, clean, and spacious. Grilled beef skewers were great, lamb shwarma was lacking. Friendly staff. It is what it is.

Hummus was bland and garlic paste was bitter. The entrée was very good. Just fix the first two and you are going to do well.

This is definitely my favorite place around Plymouth/Canton for middle eastern food. It’s inexpensive, especially if you go in for one of their sandwiches, I like to get a Vegetarian grape leaves sandwich on my lunch break, they are quick, it’s 4 dollars, and so good!

Place is nice looking, staff is friendly, bit to pricey for the taste, just what u see in any regular middle eastern restaurants nothing that special. I had the lamb 3 pieces, asked for med rare got it med but it was still ok but lack good presentation for the price. salad as always very good humus was good but lack oil and spices. Overall I would come here again but only if I’m hungry and in the area, I won’t come here on purpose.

Love this place. The staff is friendly. Service is prompt. The vegetables are always fresh. I don’t eat grains, they substitute lovely grilled vegetables for me in place of T&k he rice side. This is my go to place for middle eastern food when In the Plymouth area.

First time here today for lunch. Pretty empty and a little chilly inside. Nice décor with plenty of open space. Semi round booths along the windows and lots of tables. Very friendly service. The usual Mediterranean menu. Pita bread was warm and fresh. Lamb vegetable soup was very good but could use a little more lamb. Shish tawook was good. Chicken was crispy and tender. Nice size for 5 bucks. Side of rice was HUGE. And we ordered two not knowing. Ordered hot tea and it came with a pleasant surprise… a little mint in it. Very tasty. Hummous was okay. All in all it was a very good meal and this place is in our backyard. Will go again.

We tried it for lunch, the food was good, but its not really setup for a two person lunch crowd. The place is pretty big, but all the tables or booths are set up for 4 – 8 people. You either go into a large round booth or sit at a banquet table. Menus have lots of options, typical middle Eastern fair, but no lunch specials or menu, until the owner/waiter said entrees could be half orders. Half an entrée was way to much for lunch, i left most of the rice on the plate. They start with hot pita, I think freshly bake on premise. There were not to many people in the place, and by 12:45 we were only people remaining and the owner was busy planning for dinner. I suspect this place is better for dinner than lunch.

Seriously the most amazing falafel wrap I have ever had. And its under $ 4, so that might have made it taste twice as nice. Falafel were not dry, and were loaded with flavors. There was hummus, tahini and pickles on the pita to compliment the sandwich. It wasn’t a big fluffy pita, but more of a traditional pita, so it was big and held all the amazing filling in place. I honestly can’t believe I managed to eat the whole thing. I also got an order of the mjadara, which is lentils and cracked wheat served over rice, with middle eastern spices and caramelized onions. Since I ate all of my pita, I couldn’t eat a lot of the mjadara. It made great leftovers though and the portion lasted me three sittings! This place is pretty close to my mom’s house, so I will be putting it in regular rotation on my Detroit visits!

I ordered takeout a few weeks ago and it was DELICIOUS! The sandwiches are packed full of goodness and taste great! I stopped in on memorial day and the place was empty! Not sure why… the food is great and the facility is nice looking. I would come back on ANY holiday that they were open!

I’ve only eaten in, and only for lunch. Their lunch special is $, so my friend M and I usually split a small fattoush salad and one of their wraps for cheap. Pros: excellent garlic sauce, creamy hummus, salsa and(did I mention excellent?) garlic sauce come out with the bread when you sit down Cons: bread is not pillow-y, a little expensive for a true meal

It’s a solid three. Super friendly so I want to upgrade then to four but a bit bland overall so I really can’t. I have only gotten takeout, so bear that in mind. Like others have said you get ginormous portions here. I loved the meatiness of my four giant pieces of shish kafta in my dinner platter(yep four pieces, quite wide and quite long to boot!) but they could kick up the spice in my opinion. It was juicy and cooked nicely(happy bit of char) otherwise, even on the necessary second day reheat. Trust me even if you think you have a big appetite, share a dinner or be prepared to eat it at least twice. The deboned chicken fed my parents and also required a second day nosh. They added some hummus to their feast so it really stretched. Plan accordingly! The hummus is very nice. Chicken was marinated and juicy but without skin which disappointed the ‘rents. Sadly spice level in that marinade was on very low too. The garlic sauce here is quite pungent, get a bunch as you will need it. Other than that you will not find a ton of punch to this food. It is kind of the middle eastern version of white people’s sushi. A dumbed down kind of thing. If you are not used to eating middle eastern though you will find this to be delightful. That’s not a knock, for a guy like my husband who is sensitive to the particular spices found in the full strength cuisine this means he can enjoy a meal with me. That is something appealing to me. The rice is fluffy, they gave us a huge bag of pitas so no carb worries. The salads were actually lovely flavor wise but a bit drenched, ask for dressing on the side. It was not cheap food but it was well made, fresh and plentiful too. I think its a great place if you are baby stepping into a new cuisine or need big plenty for a crowd. I am a picky bitch as far as middle eastern, sorry but I can only give you my tastebuds take on it. I want to love it, I like it but it is what it is.

Pretty place with good food. Expensive, but you get alot. Good hummus, but the rest of the meal was bland and I had to spice it up the next day when I reheated it.

3.25– based on food alone; *note– since having a second kid, most every review is for take out. Always looking for Middle Eastern options in the Canton area. Saw a coupon in one of the local flyers, and figured we’d give this place a try. The menu looked pretty similar to any other middle eastern place in the area. To get the most bang for our buck, we decided to do full entrees. My wife got the chicken gallabah, and I got the lamb kebabs. After my wife got back from picking up the food(I swear, she said she WANTED to pick up the food), she showed me two massive party trays, telling me this was in fact our order. She said she asked the people working there(who were very nice to her) if this was the correct order, and they said yes, these were the two dinner combos. Both of our meals came with lentil soup, which was alright. The gallabah tasted a little«sour» to my wife, but she seemed to be ok with it. As for me, my lamb kebabs were good. One skewer was cooked medium rare and one was medium. They were both good, but it would’ve been nice to get them both medium as I had ordered. Did I mention we got enough rice to feed about 10 people. Being Asian, I love me some rice(yes, I can say that), and they certainly did not skimp on that. OVERALL– perhaps when we are able to go out to eat again, my wife and I will check this place out in person. As for now, I would certainly consider ordering from here again(with or without a coupon).
