Good little store, good prices and very courteous employees. I wont go anywhere else!

Everything you could ever want in a Liquor Store and more. Don’t believe me? Keep reading. I have some very high standards when it comes to Liquor Stores(candy selection, beer selection, hard liquor selection, and friendliness of employees, to name a few). And Fox Liquor goes above and beyond. Not only does the atmosphere put you in a good place, but the owner is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. He never ceases to put a smile on my face. I remember one night back in November, I was desperately craving a craft beer. Bevmo was closed(and fuck Bevmo anyway) and I was at a loss. Then I remembered that Fox had a craft beer selection. And holy cow! It blew me out of the water(Dogfish Head’s Urcontinent, Stone, literally all of my favorites!). And the prices were off the charts! The hard liquor selection is like any hard liquor selection with some joie de vivre – top of the line liquors with unbeatable prices. This is the place to get your top shelf, be it Blue Label, Patron, or Don Julio. If you’re looking for some champagne, look no further. All in all, Fox is probably my favorite beer and liquor spot in SCV. I can’t get over the genuineness, kindness, and homey feel of the place. I feel like a little kid walking in and out – read for a new joke, a smile, or a delicious craft beer than no one in a 10 mile radius has even heard of.. and also happens to be a favorite. 5⁄5 would rate again!

It’s random I’m reviewing a liquor store… but it’s for the sake of the beer folks. Crazy enough this place has a great craft beer selection. And the sweet older gentleman who runs the place gives great hometown service. With Bevmo about to open in CC, I’m hoping this place doesn’t lose their craftiness.

This is your standard, run-of-the-mill liquor store, void of any panache, savoir-faire, je na se quois(or any other fancy French phrase). Their liquor selection is top notch, though. Other than water, Sobe, a lottery ticket here and there, some sunflower seeds, and last second gum or chapstick, why else would you want to go to a liquor store? The middle-eastern gentleman who runs the place(not sure if he’s the owner), also knows Spanish. So it’s great to hear him speak Spanish with a middle-eastern accent. If he knows you’re not of Latin descent, he’ll greet you with out-dated pleasantries like«How are you doing, Buddy?», «Will that that be all for you, Boss?», «The Sobe’s are right over there, Bro.» I admire the man’s dedication for terms of affection. All kidding aside, this is a true, blue-collar liquor store. You want liquor? You got it. Great selection. Sometimes liquor on the cheap(look for their sale signs), and you get to be called«bro», «boss», and«buddy» as often as you like. (This place would’ve had 5 stars if the owner could have called me «Chief» at least just once!)
