Brewliterate is a great place for both the first time brewer or novice to the seasoned veteran. Matt the owner is kind and accommodating as to whatever it is that your looking to do. Additionally his prices are the most reasonable out of any other shops in the area and he carrys a vast array of specialty grains. All in all its a great place to shop for anyone who enjoys great beer.

First off Matt and Steph are the most amazing people I know! I’ve been coming to the shop for years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else for my brewing supplies! Matt always takes the time to answer any questions you may have whether it be about process, supplies, etc. Who else will teach you how to brew all grain and get the hands on experience you need? His prices are incredibly reasonable. If he doesn’t have something in stock he’ll get it in for you! Amazing! Thank you, always! You guys are the scheiße!

Been coming here for a few months now and I can rightly review and agree with all other reviewers in that this is a great brew shop. The best I’ve ever been to by far. Matt is very knowledgable and super helpful. He won’t sell you anything you don’t need and will prevent you from buying something you don’t need. If he doesn’t have it in stock, he’ll get it for you, usually cheaper than anywhere else.
He knows his homebrew and has been doing it alongside his wife for many, many years and it shows. He even offers to teach new ones how to brew by inviting them to brew at his shop, free of charge! I have personally brewed with him twice and he taught me how to brew a sour which I’ve wanted to try for a long time.
He recently expanded his shop and has a great supply of kegs, mash tuns, burners, kettles and fermentors… basically everthing you need to start or expand your homebrewing. That plus a huge selection of grains, hops, yeasts, and additives allow you to brew to your hearts content. A true one stop brew shop. So stoked on this place.

Great hospitality and knowledge. I’ve been tagging along with my bf for years, coming into the shop for beer supplies. Love supporting the local businesses. Never hurts that they have samples :)

Brewliterate! This is the type of shop you want to go to not only to get your supplies but to learn anything from brewing your first batch to tips and tricks for the guy who have already been brewing awhile.
I went to the shop a few weeks back, I had already had all my supplies, just needed a few random last minute things. When I got there they didn’t judge me for being a beginner or try and talk down to me for not knowing everything about brewing yet (like other shops in murrieta), instead they offered to teach me and help me brew! I was kinda thrown off about it, not sure if they were serious, any way this past Tuesday after my batch was done my wife wanted to brew her own batch of her favorite, hef! So we head down to the shop and I mention I want to do full grain this time, well instead of selling me a mix and sending me on my way, like I was gonna do, Matt offered to teach us for free. So today he gave me a free class and taught me how to brew from all grain, I picked up a lot of knowledge and got a great second batch fermenting now.
I would highly recommend this place if you want to start home brewing.

This guy knows his stuff. If you need a specific malt, he either has it or can get it.

Matt has been the best mentor to my brother and I. Incredibly knowledgeable when i comes to beer/​wine making and a pleasure to hang out with during his brewing classes. His prices are very reasonable and he really goes out of his way to help you out. By far the best homebrew supply store in the area. Give him a visit, you wont be dissapointed!

Glad I found this spot, been brewing for about six months and every time I come in Matt’s just super friendly and wants his customers to brew good beer. No dumb questions just dumb brewers. He also has experience with judging beers and will taste your good and bad batches to give some tips.

This brew shop is amazing! Matt is the coolest guy! So knowledgable and friendly. This is my second time brewing with him! I wouldn’t brew with anyone else! He really teaches you a lot as you have fun an make any beer you want!!!

The proprietor, Matt, is a very friendly and knowledgable guy who runs a tidy and well-​stocked shop. His prices are very competitive, but what you come here for is the expert knowledge, friendly chats, and superior customer service.
Matt is the ideal person you want to talk to when preparing to brew beer — whether you’re doing your first batch or you’ve been doing this for years. You can bounce your ideas off of him and he will give you sound advice formed from over 30 years of brewing. He is very generous with his time and knowledge.
I also like that Matt stands by the products in his shop. He’ll order you whatever you like (and at a good price), but if he doesn’t think it’s a useful item, you won’t find it on his shelves. His ingenuity and cleverness at finding pragmatic and inexpensive solutions to things also trumps his business sense. Before he’ll sell you a $ 150 mash tun, he’ll tell you how you can make a better one yourself for half price. Heck, he’ll even tell you to bring it in and he’ll do it for you.
Great, great, guy. Great, great, shop. I would drive miles to find a place like this and be loyal to it until the end. Luckily, it’s in my own neighborhood.

Clearly, Matt is passionate about craft brewing. Not only is he knowledgeable about home brewing, but he is friendly and always helpful to customers.
It’s great to have such a great home brew shop in the area. His prices are VERY competitive and the service you get is superior to any brew store around the area.

Just got my first brewing kit and took a lesson from Matt. He runs a great shop with a wide variety of supplies to fit brewing needs. He walked me through step by step how to create the beer I wanted and even helped get me to the fermenting stage at his shop.
Great atmosphere to hang out, brew, learn, and buy gear. I would recommend talking to Matt for anyone interested in starting up or furthering their knowledge of zymology.

Matt is a awesome guy. Very helpful and willing to show you the ropes. I am new to home brewing and he set me up with everything I needed. Best prices on brewing kits. Great place.

Matt’s a great guy, very knowledgable and patient with a new homebrewer (me). Best part is he isn’t going to steer you to buy a bunch of stuff you dont really need. I won’t go anywhere else for my supplies, highly recommend this spot whether your new or an old pro.

I was missing a piece out of a Brooklyn Brewshop kit purchased elsewhere. This was a $ 2 transaction, but Matt took the time to assist me inside while also holding a class outside. This is neat little operation, and I’ll surely be back to offer a bottle from my first batch, and purchase more brewing supplies.

Matt knows how to run a good shop. Plenty of great advice and great stories.
I would recommend this shop for any season of brewer from the beginner to the advanced.
If Matt doesn’t have it, he will order it for you and at a fair price.
Demo’s are ran often and they are a great way to see brewing in action.

What an AWESOME place!
Bought my hubby a full beer-​making kit for his birthday, and it was seriously the most fun thing we’ve done together at home on a Friday night. Matt, the owner, was extremely helpful, educating me on all the different things needed for a successful batch o’ beer. He spent half an hour with me, trying to find the right kind of beer to make for Hubby. He told me that his store offers demos every so often and he also does a lot to be active in the community. I was really impressed!
We just finished off our first batch a few weeks ago, and we cannot wait to be back in to try a different kind of beer! They also carry wine-​making kits, which I am anxious to try as well.
