Cannot recommend more highly. Fantastic meal in a cultured but casual atmosphere. Everything was great. Go with the beet salad. Steaks are consistent and perfect.

Wow. We had an amazing experience here! Our table wasn’t quite ready at our reservation time, so we sat at the bar and had a couple cocktails. Our whole table couldn’t stop raving about 36’s blue cheese wedge salad. Delicious! Then we all enjoyed steak for our entrée. I had the filet and enjoyed every single tender bite. Restaurant 36 is such a perfect addition to Cape Girardeau. This is definitely a place my husband and I will be celebrating anniversaries and birthdays. No place like 36 in Cape. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Me my wife and another couple ate hear at 36 last night this is a great place to experience! My wife and I had the strip and the filet it was amazing. The steak was for sure in the top 3 I have ever had and I eat a lot of steak! :) The service and experience was the best I’ve ever experienced. The owner introduced her self, her husband and the chef! Very friendly staff. For sure a destination to visit if you are a foodie and a in Cape.

From the moment you walk into 36 you feel the warm inviting atmosphere, as the owners often welcome you themselves. We usually begin with drinks at the bar, my personal favorite is their manhattan. As for appetizers the rarebit and scallops are my personal favorites, but I’ve never tried anything I did not enjoy. The steaks are prepared perfectly and the meat is a better quality than many steak-houses I’ve dined in. While I prefer the shoe-string frites usually found in brasserie’s, the thicker cut steak fries are fried to a crispy perfection. I strongly suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for a dining experience and is not in a hurry.

36 Restaurant is absolutely amazing! The dinner wasn’t rushed or slow, but perfectly paced. The server was prompt, polite, and extremely friendly, even though they were short handed that evening. I had the filet, and I have to say, it was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend 36!

Wow I really have not one thing bad to say. The décor is very romantic, lots of woodwork, small bar and deep colors with exposed brick. Carlos and Garrett behind the bar make a fantastic dirty martini and great bourbons for old fashions. Now the food… Very short and sweet menu. We had the scallops pan seared and huge on a bed of arugula and mustardy aioli. So yum! For our entrée we both had filets and love a perfectly rare steak. I requested the steak and frites which normally comes with a sirloin to sub a filet and no issue at all. The staff is wonderful. Find a little miss named Hope for a great server and of course Vanessa is the adorbs blondie helicopter-ing around the room as a great owner should. This is a great place we will make our new special place for all occasions.

I visited 36 about a month ago with a group of high profile clients that suggested the spot. I live in Philadelphia and did not expect to find the best steak I’ve ever had in small town Missouri, but WOW! Everything was excellent from beginning to end. Start with the scallops and go for the steak. What an excellent experience and meal — I hope I’m able to enjoy this fantastic spot again soon!

We just spent an amazing evening at 36 Main, one of the best restaurants we have ever experienced. Perhaps the only thing better than the delectable roasted red pepper soup, beet & kale salad, asparagus and perfect New York strip was the flawless attention and customer service provided by owners Vanessa and John Eric Klein. Went here with a large group and we were seated upstairs. The staff and owners are wonderful people. Good selections of wines and we tried many of them. The Hall Cabernet was new to me, but very dry and one I’ll drink again, and again. I had the beet salad and it was very good. Others had the Caesar and the Wedge and everyone enjoyed their salads. We had 16 people and most ordered the strip(including me). The person next to me ordered the Tuna and raved about it. Everyone seemed very happy with their steaks. However, I had ordered mine very rare and it was medium. I think it had continued to cook while they were assembling the other 15 meals. They whisked mine away and replaced it in a few minutes. This time it was perfectly cooked. The sauce, accompanying potatoes and asparagus were good too. Since I’m a fast eater, I finished right with everyone else. It was and excellent meal and everyone was happy with the wine, food and service.

Wow! One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The filet was great. Staff were great. Music was nice, but low enough you could converse without speaking loudly. Wine selection was very good.

Have dined here on a couple of different occasions… the atmosphere and staff friendliness is wonderful! Very accommodating. As for the food: the beet salad, house salad, shrimp and scallop appetizers, creamy squash soup, New York strip, chicken duo, and grouper entrees are all fabulous! The bread pudding dessert is an absolute must! One suggestion: the grouper is good, but small serving in comparison to the other entrees – it’s a nice choice for those who want to eat a light meal, however larger sides with this meal would be nice. I will say, my steak was cooked perfectly, rare occurrence for restaurants in this area. Great dining experience!

We went to 36 for my birthday. The restaurant décor is warm and inviting. Fabulous food and impeccable service. 36 is a wonderful addition to downtown Cape. From the white linen table cloths to the exquisite stemware and the personalized service, you will not be disappointed. Lastly, the Crème brûlée bread pudding is absolutely phenomenal! Peggy S.

The food and atmosphere here are great. The wine list is solid, as are the beer list and cocktails. This is the best steak dinner you will find in southeast Missouri. I can’t say enough. You should just go eat at 36 and see for yourself.

We are there in the first week. I had the best Filet I have had in my life. It is Certified Angus Beef and melted in my mouth like butter. I’m an experienced diner in upscale restaurants, and I happy to have such an amazing new spot add to our local venues.
