Amazing food and great selection of alcohols. The pretzel is a must have. Its giant so plan on sharing.

I love coming here! They have a huge beer selection and even let you try samples of what’s on tap. The atmosphere is relaxing and they always play great music. The staff is always friendly and willing to make suggestions when you want to try something new. Their food is also great! I’ve had their wings, waffle fries, bavarian pretzel(it’s a pound!), and their dirty pretzel bites; all tasted delicious! Don’t forget your plastic because they don’t take cash!

I think the owner is on a mission. He desires to bring great beer products to those who appreciate it. He succeeds. The place is nicely furnished, well staffed and service is top notch. If you have never had German beer get ready for a different experience than our American Lagers. My brother and I went in there a while back, ordered a Hofbrau and a pretzel. The pretzel was enormous and so was the mug that they drew for us. The beer was at perfect temperature to enjoy, the mug, frosty and the pretzel delicious. The pretzel even had different dipping options available. The owner came out and introduced himself and we had a great conversation about how he started and his passion for the business. I am always interested in the back story of the places I go. I ended up having two beers and the pretzel. Had to set outside on the beautiful Cape Girardeau street bench in the warm afternoon sun to relax. Will go back again!

Beautiful venue with an awesome, ever-changing beer selection curated by its energetic, affable, passionate owner, Rob Foeste. Rob and his staff are incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable — if craft beer isn’t your usual scene, just tell them what beer you typically enjoy, and they will be so happy to direct you to a great beer to enjoy. The draft selection skews towards German styles(natch) and local breweries(which I love). Every beer will be served in appropriate glassware — and I don’t just mean appropriate for the style, but, in some cases, the actual brewery-provided glass. Last time, I ordered a Mother’s Brewing Co. Winter Grind Espresso Stout, which was served in a Mother’s mug clearly designed to mimic a glass coffee mug — it was like an extra cherry of awesomeness on top of a delicious(beer) sundae. The food selection is not incredibly diverse, but what they have is excellent. The burger and waffle fries are tasty, the fried pickles great(though the ranch dipping sauce is a bit bland/disappointing). I’ve yet to be bold(or hungry) enough to order the«1 lb. pretzel» but by god do I like the sound of that. However, as several others have noted, the boneless chicken wings are the real star — incredibly flavorful with different sauce options. I’ve only been to Cape a few times, but this is already an oasis for me — not only for the sheer quality of the beer selection, but as a place with(a) a generally cool, chill, non-college crowd and(b) most importantly for this spoiled east coast visitor, one of the few(only?) bars I’ve encountered here that does not permit smoking inside. Long may it serve excellent(smoke-free) beer!

Awesome place, great fried pickles, huge beer selection! The owners and their staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help you find an awesome beer you’ll enjoy. Rob Foeste(one of the owners) is passionate about beer and as nice as they come. Great addition to our city!

Great Staff. The place reminded me of itap in Soulard. I’d definitely recommend if you’d like to have a conversation and get away from the elbow to elbow places.

Finally a place that serves real beer in the Midwest! They have a great selection of beer, cider and wine from all around the world. None of the horse piss that y’all are brainwashed to think is beer lol. The pretzel is huge and is very much worth the money, could be a meal in itself!

This a great place. One of my favorites in Cape Girardeau. Even if you don’t like beer… go anyway and the staff can recommend something that you will like. They don’t have a lot to offer as far as food goes but what they have is totally on point(especially the boneless wings) and all of it is made fresh. I especially like the fact that the whole place is smoke-free. If I were looking for a strike it can get a little loud when it’s packed but on a normal night you won’t even notice.

Finally a smoke free Biergarten! 100’s of beers with a rotating 40+ on draft. Great place for sports with 7 flat screens or bellying up at the long bar and enjoying the atmosphere. Owner pouring the drafts and striking up friendly conversation.

The real deal and a must visit stop for anyone who knows the difference between good beer and cheap beer. Only downside is the noise. Hopefully they’ll invest in some sound panels in the future.

Love this place hands down. Just moved here from Texas so I’m a pluckers wings kinda girl but this place has the best wings in town. The seasoned waffle fries are so good as well. Lots if flavor. The pretzel is awesome and they ship them from Germany! The mustard that comes with it is just the right amount of sweetness with mustardy flavor I don’t know how to describe it but good and let’s just say I don’t Like mustard. The owner is really nice and friendly as well as knowledgable about beer. If you want a cool chill atmosphere with great food and no immature party going kids this is the place to be.

So excited that Cape has a beer place!!! More choices than AB, miller, and coors! I grew up in this area, and I’m very pleased with the progress that has taken place over the past couple of years :) :) This place is of 5-star quality, but I’m doing 4 stars bc it’s missing a little something. I can’t put my finger on it… But I feel they can do something a little better before 5-stars. Definitely come here though — good times!

Broadway Biergarten, I am delighted you decided to open up in good olé Downtown Cape G! Danke for bringing the craft beer craze to the Cape! If you are looking for a lively, laid-back bar with a wide selection of tasty brews, good food, TVs to view your fave sporting event, AND is non-smoking, look no farther than Broadway Biergarten! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Trust the bartenders to recommend a beverage that will make your taste buds happy! In my opinion, the crisp, tender boneless wings are the best in Cape. The unique coating and flavor of the chicken bites will have you coming back for MORE! If you are a lightweight like me, be prepared to Google the alcohol percentage of the beers before ordering since they are not listed on the menu.

Living in a city where craft beer is the norm, I was thrilled to finally visit Broadway Biergarten when I visited Cape for the holidays. Atmosphere: For being located so near the town college, the atmosphere was(wonderfully) non-collegiate. The bar was very clean and non-smoking(huge plus for that). There are TVs for games, but both times I was there it didn’t feel«sports bar-y.» It was a little crowded in the later hours of the evening, but given the holiday influx of locals that was to be expected. Beer: There is an excellent selection of beers, both draught and bottled(although be forewarned — you won’t find a Bud Light or a Michelob Ultra here!). There is a wide selection of German beers, but also a few nods to some Missouri breweries. The Woodchuck Dark and Dry cider had everyone at my table(even non-cider fans) impressed, as did the Mother’s Winter Grind. The menus are updated frequently to reflect availability(because there’s nothing worse than getting excited over a drink, only to have your bartender sadly look at you and say«We’re out of that particular beer…»). Food: The pretzels are excellent and well worth the $ 9 price tag, but ask anyone from Cape and the real treat is the classic boneless wings. General suggestion: If you don’t recognize anything, talk to the bartender(assuming they’re not packed). Take advantage of the samplers and cheaper bottles(there are plenty for $ 4.50). The point with this place is not only to have a great(and reasonable) drink but also to explore new and different beers, and the staff is trained to help both the beer neophyte and aficionado.

No service. $ 4 – 6 for most beers and no table service. So you go to the bar to order but there’s no real place to get up there to place your order. $ 9 for a giant pretzel that was good but expensive. Also, they printed their menus at home on an inkjet printer that needed an ink cartridge. Nice selection of cold beer. Just missing the mark.

Hallo, Biertrinker Freunde von mir, SCHöNEN TAG!!! Biergarten is the classiest schlang Spaß place in the lower third of Southeast Missouri. Newly renovated and newly owned, this takes the frat night life to a whole new level! Roggenbier? Weizenbock? Weihnachtsbier? Cowabungzachtnish, dude! Who cares what it’s called! As long as it’s yellow colored and cold, let’s get vashnigyered! JABRO Service is fast, polite, authentically of German heritage. Seating is adequate, with real German picknickshicht tables for you and your friends! Haven’t tried the food yet, but sure to go back soon. This is the new heißesten joint in Cape Girardeau, folks, TRINKEN!

Broadway Biergarten is a superb downtown(indoor) biergarten next door to the old Esquire theater. I have visited twice — once on opening night and again a week later. The staff is very knowledgeable about beer and proper pouring technique. Each draft beer is poured with the right amount of head and served in the appropriate glassware. Several times, I’ve just asked the bartenders to bring me something they think I’ll like, and their selections have yet to disappoint. When they get busy, it sometimes takes a few minutes to get served, but I think that is just part of being at a bar where the bartenders can intelligently answer questions about the beers they are serving. When I visited last night, I also ordered a half pound of boneless wings. Perhaps wings don’t fit the biergarten theme, but you have to understand the history: The boneless wings were a big hit at another establishment owned by the same proprietors, so the customers practically demanded that they be offered here as well. The wing sauce has just the right amount of heat with a touch of mustard. My order came out in about ten minutes at an appropriate temperature. I highly recommend Broadway Biergarten.
