There is so much Pizza out there these days it’s really a hard market to excel in. Marco’s Pizza has a nice clean building, friendly staff. I sat at one of their two tables and watched them work. They sure have a system worked out and I think this location follows it to a tee. Every time a customer comes through the door, a bell sounds and the manager on duty yells out«Front Counter» or something like that. The counter is then covered by a designated employee and the order is taken. I watched this several times and they had different signals and«shout outs» in the back. It is always interesting how you can get a bunch of teenagers to run a business. It takes good management and a fantastic system and people who are willing to follow it. I ordered their meat pizza special and a Hawaiian half and half. It came out on time, it was very hot and toasty. I did enjoy it for the most part but knowing this is a franchise pizza made me wish for a little more with better ingredients. I’m not knocking them at all. I believe they all did a great job and after all, they did the best with the ingredients that they had. It won’t be my go to place for Pizza but it’s a tool in the box. They will serve their market well. It’s basically a college town. Hat’s off to all those who labor hard to serve the masses!!!
