Great place for quality meat! My grandfather was a butcher, and I had the privilege of watching him cut meat and enjoying the meat he cut. The Butcher Block does grandpa proud! I have purchased bacon, steaks, ground beef and pork, chicken, hotdogs, pulled pork, pork steaks, and deli meat from BB and have never been disappointed. The staff people are very friendly and I appreciate that they remember me when I come in. They recently acquired a new butcher from Chicago and he came out and introduced himself last week when I was buying steak and bacon. The Butcher Block is the kind of local business that I often recommend to friends. Check it out. You can also sign up for text alerts, like sales on bacon!

Came in today to check out some meat rubs, sauces, and jerky. I was quite pleased with the selection they had. We tried some of the local BBQ sauce including a wing sauce that had a small kick. I also tried the pumpkin cheesecake vodka from Ste. Gen. We also tried the Elderberry Moonshine that was quite good. Both run $ 30.The quality of meat they carry is good quality. The butcher we spoke with is very friendly. She’s letting us know when the Mike Shannon’s sauce comes in. I’ll be back to pick up many others when we come back.

There is nothing better than a locally owned butcher shop. The Butcher Block has a phenomenal atmosphere from the corrugated tin and wood in the shop to the bbq pit right outside the door. There is a great selection and wide variety of high quality meats: ribs, steaks, bacon, chops(grain-fed, but also locally grown grass-fed meats). On top of the selection of meats they also sell wines, cheese, bbq and grilling supplies, and sauces and rubs. Service is top-notch! Check out their facebook page – –to keep updated on their specials. Also there is a daily lunch, the porksteak sandwiches are amazing!

I’ve noticed this small, local shop while driving into town on Kingshighway many times and I have always been curious about it. Today, it caught my eye and I decided to give it a try! I was excited about the variety of local, grass fed meats available. I wasn’t expecting more than meats and was pleasantly surprised to find a selection of cheese, local Missouri wines, supplies for sausage making, and spices for grilling and BBQ. They also have reasonably priced pig ears and bones for dogs! Yay, not only were my carnivorous needs met, my pooch’s were as well! See you again soon, Butcher Block!
