One of my top five best dining experiences hands down. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on Valentine’s Day weekend. We both loved this place so much we decided we’re going back the next time we’re in town. The interior and exterior of this house was absolutely beautiful. The ambiance was perfect especially with the classical piano music playing throughout the night. Plus it’s on a waterfront with scenic views. It’s no wonder this place was listed on OpenTable’s 2016 list of Most Romantic Restaurants in America. This place is BYOB so remember to bring your own wine! We came with ours and they placed it in a bucket of ice for us. No corking fee. We ordered the Cape May Salt Oysters to start. They come topped with caviar which was a nice touch. For our entrees, I ordered the Slow Roasted Venison accompanied with root vegetables and gnocchi. It was my first time trying venison so I wasn’t sure what to expect but turned out to be pretty good. My bf got the Beef Tenderloin which was cooked in a dry red wine sauce and served with herbed potato purée, green beans, and carrots. We both cleaned our plates! For dessert, we shared the molten lava cake which sat on top of some sort of caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream which was amazing. Perfect way to finish off our night. But wait! Then our waitress Dotti, who was the sweetest lady by the way, brought out some chocolate covered strawberries for our table and a rose for me. It was such a sweet surprise and lovely finishing touch to a memorable night. I’d highly recommend PSI for any romantic occasion, or if you’re ever in Cape May! You won’t be disappointed.

Went to PSI for my honeymoon dinner, I started off with the cold calamari salad and the tuna tartar… besides the fact that the seafood was so so so fresh, the dishes were devine! we also tried the mushroom soup, it was creamy and bursting with flavor i loved it!!! my fiancé had a special which was pork loin with pancetta and i had the venison with potato gnocchi… both meals were amazing! i was so pleased with every single thing that i tried i do not have one single complaint. The service was very good and our waitor was attentive, professional, and nice. I cant wait to go back.

So amazing! My boyfriend proposed to me this past weekend in Cape May and took me to PSI for dinner afterwards, and HOLY delicious!!! The food was perfectly cooked, seasoned and beautifully presented. By far best meal I have eaten in awhile. My fiancé got the sea bass, and I ordered the hanger steak! We will definitely be returning, hopefully many, many times!!!

I have been here before and it is always good but tonight was disapointing. Our waitress forgot our order and the rush to get our food out was diner like. the pork chop was ok. Too much bone no meat cooked over on one end the scallops were great… I will probably go back again everyone has a bad night I guess

This fine spot from start to finish provide superior service and exquisite dishes in a charming B&B setting. The ahi/avocado starter is to die for! As were the scallops and the yummy deserts. Rub don’t walk to this house of yum!

Amazing. Everything about this place was amazing. The locale and decoration was perfect, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They do have some wines but it is otherwise a BYOB as well. The menu is seasonal, but everything we tried was absolutely amazing! Most people here were wearing shirts, and I definitely felt a little under dressed with a polo shirt and shorts, so let this serve as warning. Meal was pricey, but definitely worth it.

It’s our first time in cape may and this was the first dinner spot we visited. Boy oh boy did they set the bar high! Someone at our B&B said its ranked the most romantic and now I see why! It’s quaint, quiet and lovely. The outside of this house is gorgeous. The food is AMAZING! My husband said it was the best oysters he’s ever had and that’s a BOLD statement. He also has steak while I had the tuna tartar. All was so fresh and portions were perfect. Service was exceptional, Amy our waitress was so sweet. We also loved the pianist who played whatever song we asked and was also quite conversational. The only downside is idk if any other restaurant will compare!

Absolutely perfect. Each course was delicious! The tuna tartare was the best I’ve ever had and the corn soup(hot) still felt summery and light. The steaks and accompanying sides were cooked and paired together perfectly. Our crème brûlée was just the right mix of hard top and sweet. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and checked in frequently while still being out of the way. We definitely had the best table in the house, which was just the cherry on top of the best night. I cannot think of a single thing I’d change!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had, certainly the best I’ve ever had in Cape May. Everything was outstanding — the ambiance, the food, the service. PSI is absolutely perfect for an upscale, romantic date night dinner. The wine list is limited to local vineyards and it doesn’t appear they have wines by the glass either, so if that’s not your thing, BYOB. We tried a Cape May riesling and it was fine enough. More mild, less fruity and sweet than you might expect from a riesling. Perfectly drinkable, since I typically like rieslings only if they’re very, very cold. As for the food, let me start by saying my husband had the bronzino special and he said it was delicious and perfectly cooked. To be honest, I was too wrapped up in the tasting menu to really pay attention to what he was eating. The tasting menu started with an amuse bouche of tuna tartare and it was outstanding. Perfect ruby jewels of raw tuna, wasabi tobiko, micro cilantro, and miso vinaigrette. To. Die. For. The first course was the summer corn soup(my husband also had it as his appetizer). OMG, it was the best, freshest, lightest, creamiest, frothiest, sweetest, corniest(in a good way) corn soup I’ve ever had. Like summer in a bowl. The second course was pan roasted scallops with leeks and potato gnocchi and a reduced white balsamic sauce. The scallops were perfectly cooked — a beautiful brown crust on each side, but meltingly soft on the inside. The third course was a grilled NY strip with summer corn risotto and Swiss chard. I asked for the meat to be prepared medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked, buttery soft and flavorful. The dessert was a warm date pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel. Although it was delicious, it was much too sweet and too large of a portion after eating everything on the tasting menu. Kudos to the manager for noticing that I had pushed it aside after only one or two bites, asking if there was anything else she could replace it with, then graciously removing the charge from our bill. My only complaint is a minor one. It was obvious that one of the hostess responsibilities is to check on the status of tables. This was obvious because as we were sitting in a small side room with only 7 tables for two, every 5 minutes or so one of the hostesses would come walking through the room and stop short just before reaching the last table closest to the door. As if she was checking to see how close that table was to finishing their meal. Which is fine I suppose, especially if there is another reservation for that table, but it got really annoying after a while.

I wish I had remembered to write this review right after I went. Took my boyfriend here for his birthday in June. We sat on the porch and both had the price fixe menu. Everything was perfect. Even the portions were a lot larger than I expected, being a price fixe menu. Service was on point. Probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Amazing! Everything about this place is amazing! The menu is so great I wish I could try it all. Instead I went with one of the specials(black cod) and was very pleased. Also started with the lump crab salad and tuna tartar which was fantastic. Everyone at my table loved their meals as well. The piano player was a great touch to the evening. Some couples even danced to the music. Truly 5 stars! The food, service, ambiance, view and location were all superb.

Highlight of my 7 week vacation at the Jersey Shore. What an amazing place — an original(?) Victorian house across from the beach. A lovely piano player in the entrance. Amazing service every time we come. Want to know about the food? … the best Alaskan Hailbut I’ve ever had … placed on a bed of sauteed leaks. The tuna was a deep red color that was succulent. Is it a certain type of tuna of this color? And, the filet mignon with the reduction sauce — so tender! We will be back!

Everything about my meal here was absolutely fantastic. My boyfriend and I went for dinner, and were seated right away for our reservation. We brought white wine, intending to eat seafood, and as soon as our waiter saw it he brought us chilled glasses and an ice bucket. I noticed that they have cheese plates on their dessert menu. Being that I’m not sophisticated enough to wait for dessert to eat lots of cheese, I asked whether we could have that as our appetizer and they said it was no problem at all. We chose the Mrs. Quick’s Cheddar, Garroxta and Robiola Bosina– all were fantastic. But the standout was definitely the Robiola Bosina, that was both me and my boyfriend’s favorite. For my entrée I ordered the Halibut with melted leeks, potato gnocchi and truffle aioli, and just wow. Everything was superb– the gnocchi were soft and velvety on the inside but beautifully crisped on the outside. The halibut was cooked perfectly, very flavorful and generous. The truffle aioli was great and really flavorful. The leeks gave it a great light, green taste that really helped balance the whole thing. Absolutely fantastic. My boyfriend ordered the salmon and that was really great as well. We ordered the English Date Pudding(or Sticky Toffee Pudding, as it’s called across the pond) for dessert, and that was also stunning. As good as I’ve had in London and maybe better. All of this came in at around $ 100, which didn’t seem possible considering how elegant and delicious everything was. And on top of the delicious food, the atmosphere is beautiful. White linens, a pianist playing, lots of windows opening up to a view of the ocean, and intimate lighting made it a really romantic spot. Service was fantastic and friendly, the only tiny smudge on the experience was that it took a little longer than expected for the entrees to come, but since we had the cheese plate it didn’t matter in the slightest. This was definitely a highlight of my trip to Cape May, and I highly recommend that you try it.

Wow what an amazing disappointment and headache. I could not wait for this gut wrenching experience to end. The place is beautiful and has a great setting no doubt but the air of arrogance resonating in this place makes me want to vomit. Speaking of vomit I ordered a beef tenderloin which could have been purchased at any local supermarket and it was under seasoned and undercooked. My wife ordered the tuna steak which was one of the worst looking and tasting tunas steaks I have seen in years. My local strip mall sushi place has fresher tuna. Now let’s get to the headache. I split the bill on cards with someone which is pretty standard across any restaurants in the good old US of A. The waitress(who clearly had had one too many Chardonnays) comes back with the bill not split but two charges for around the amount of the entire bill, basically doubling. I said it was wrong and she agreed and voided and went back to charge. She comes back and says the bill was right and goes over our order and doesn’t even understand that she double charged our cards. What a moron. Finally comes back with the right bill and the same air of arrogance. Thank god I can leave now.

The highlight of my trip — an absolute must. We arrived on a Monday night and had one of the best meals that I can recall. The service was attentive(but not overly so). Don’t be afraid to bring your own bottle of wine(it’s BYOB), they cork it and serve it throughout your meal. We had the soup, tuna tartare, salmon, halibut, and panna cotta. Everything was phenomenal, I absolutely loved the halibut. The restaurant itself is quaint, with views of the ocean, and had a very romantic, cozy vibe. I will always return and may even book a stay at the hotel next time.

Great place to have a good meal in cape may. Sophisticated environment fully backed with a tasty and fresh menu. BYOB allows you to get your own wine to accompany your dinner. Live piano was perfect and kept with the scene and the décor. The scallops were perfect, the halibut was excellent and the hanger steak, if you are not in a seafood mood rival and steak house.

I think I enjoyed the atmosphere here most of all… we sat out on the screened veranda at sunset. Very relaxed atmosphere, in general. My major complaint is the prices… very high. Food portions were reasonable, but not especially large(I didn’t leave hungry, but I also didn’t pack any leftovers up). Service was above average. Food was not terribly adventurous; basically new American/French-inspired food that is done reasonably well.

This place is really amazing. The location is spectacular, it has a seafront view. We came here for dinner, and walked along the boardwalk with the nice sea breeze. It was really nice and romantic. It was a pretty hot day, but with the breeze, the walked turned out to be quite lovely. After dinner, we also walked along the boardwalk and diverted onto the beach to get back to our B&B. After dinner, the sun was setting, it made the walk on the beach just that much nicer. The décor is also really nice. The restaurant is small and cozy, but at the same time elegant and romantic. When we first walked in, I was really worried that we were under dressed and they would turn us away. It was a relief that they didn’t mind it all that much… unlike some places in the city. The atmosphere was also really romantic, we got there around 6:30(which was when our reservations were) the sun was setting, and it gave the place a really romantic glow. When we first arrived, the volume in the restaurant was very low, as the night got later, and as more glasses of wines got consumed, the noise level got slightly higher; but I wouldn’t call it noisy. The color and theme of the restaurant really had a romantic/elegant vibe, which I really enjoyed. The food was quite amazing… When we were there, they had four specials, two appetizers and two main courses. My friend ordered the Crab Salad and the code(the original fish was out), from the daily specials; whereas, I ordered the Roasted Beet Salad and the rear seared yellow tuna on risotto. Being a fine dining restaurant, the plating of all dishes were really pretty and nice. So not only was the food yummy, it also makes your mouth water when you see it, oh so photogenic. So, the risotto under the tuna was a lot like rice, so my friend, really wanted to switch with me, because he really wanted to eat rice… hahahaha… Anyways, everything we had was spectacular, the roasted beets were really refreshing. The crab salad was very creamy but not heavy, the crab meat was really sweet, which was not overpowered by the aioli sauce. As for the main dishes, I feel like normal Tuna steak has a toughness and a fishiness to it; and after eating it, it always seemed to heavy and cold, where I just want it out of me asap. So before I made my order I had to double/triple check. She promised me it was really good, so I took a risk and listened to a total stranger. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. The tuna steak was really good, it wasn’t tough like what I had before, the sides were also really good, the risotto was really light. The bok choi married the stead and the rice really well. The bok choi was also really light and juicy; it still had some crunch to it. As for my friend’s daily special, that was also delicious, which was why I didn’t hesitate to change my food with him. The fish’s skin was so crispy, it was perfect. The fish itself was also really juicy and flavorful. It was on top of a bed of corn and edamame. Mind blown… So we had a seafood theme going, and so we ordered the locally grown Cape May Chardonnay. It was good, a little on the sweeter side, but nonetheless, very refreshing and crisp. I wish I had some room for dessert, but I didn’t… Not that I am complaining because I am sure if I did have dessert I would be complaining about wanting more appetizer and main course haha… So all in all, this place is well worth the visit. The décor, atmosphere, location, food and service were all spectacular, when I was there.

I trusted You Unilocal and u did not disappoint me. This was our wedding anniversary dinner. I wanted romantic, special, and something different then the Philadelphia Restaurants we r used to. Cape May New Jersey hit the mark … It is beautiful this time of year. This Inn is Victorian, historic and has its own ghost. When we arrived I mentioned I wanted a romantic table because of our anniversary . They put us in the sun room off the lobby, where we cloud hear the classic piano music playing. They then brought us complementary flutes of champagne to toast our anniversary. They then Put our BYOB on ice and wished us the best. Wow . Dinner was good. The waiter very attentive . We will go back … Thanks Unilocal
