Stopped here after getting off the Ferry. Wine was mediocre at best. Food was good. Staff was friendly but a bit odd and maybe too laid back. They’d get to talking to you and forget about the other 6 people waiting. Definitely an interesting stop. Won’t make a return trip.

Great winery. Had planned on taking a tour, but the weather did not permit. Still had a great time as the inside of the tasting room is large and comfortable. They have a bar for tastings and purchasing bottles or glasses of wine. Half the area has large leather couches and coffee tables. Great for sitting with a group of the family, just be sure to bring a deck of cards or board game to play. The other half is a dinning room area, complete with cozy fireplace. You can order food from their«tapas menu». Not really a tapas menu but more of a selection of cheeses and charcuterie, plus the addition of a standard menu that includes sandwiches and salads. On the rainy day we visited we did a tasting class, followed by a warm tomato bisque and grilled cheese with a bottle of our favorite wine. Everything was great! Highly recommend the Malaysia bianca dry white.

Beautiful winery. Very peaceful and great use of space. Tasting was a real treat and informative. Wine pours were generous :). I purchased 6 bottle before leaving. Reds were great. Dessert wines great. White sangria phenomenal. We only got pizzas which was incredible so I’m assuming all food is great.

Tried to get in for a tasting before 3pm on a Saturday. Was told that they had just closed for a wedding. Was told that we should have checked their website or had a reservation. Reservation? For a tasting? At least put a sign at the entrance to prevent people from walking in to be told of the closure. Saw about 6 others being turned away as well. Disappointed from Virginia.

Do me a favor… Close your eyes and Picture a winery in your head as you read this review. Think of the fields and a place where you can sit look over the fields and enjoy the peacefulness. That is willow creek. Do yourself and come here.

We’ve been here twice now and this is the only winery that offers food. I don’t drink much so I can’t speak too much about the wines. Hubby has had their growler of sangria and he seems to have enjoyed it. Service — Friendly Efficient Fast Atmosphere — Beautiful vineyard Outdoor fire pit Outdoor and indoor seating Very large space Clean bathrooms Have a little bit of fly issues during warmer months Cozy leather couches Food — Yummy cheese and meat board Fruity EVOO Crispy and soft baguettes Flatbreads are okay Brisket sandwich was smoky and had lots of meat. Sauce was delightful — cool and creamy with a hint of acidity. Overall, we definitely enjoy this winery very much esp for their food options. Who doesn’t love having a bite to eat when they sip on wine? I know we do :) Will definitely bring family and friends here when they come to visit. Ps they get very busy so be warned esp during summer season.

My wife and I visit this winery a few times a year. The building and surrounding grounds are beautiful. It’s a wonderful place to sit, relax, and have a glass of wine. They also offer different small plates to snack on. I would have given this location 5 stars but the quality of wine has decreased somewhat over the last year. In the past, this winery offered different wines where the grapes/juice came from California. However, this will not stop us from visiting this location. Check their website and calendar for events, it’s worth a visit.

BF and I had about an hour to kill, so we decided to check this place out on Saturday morning. Really nice looking spot, comfy couches, and they do wine tastings at the bar flights of five. We were looking to get cozy at couch and do our wine tasting, but we were told they only happen at the bar even though the place totally empty. Disappointed to say the least, so up to the bar we went. Not bad wine, however I didn’t find anything remarkable. Again the control issues arose, I wanted to try something sweet, with a stern slap on the wrist, I was told I had to go top down, from dry to sweet only. We split the tasting, so it went fairly quickly. So now were allowed to go to the couch, since we were each ordering a glass of wine. BF got the Pinot Noir, I got the sovereign blanc and a nice little cheese tray. They have other little menu items that you can nibble on too. Honestly the place is nice looking and worth a stop.

This was a really nice spot to spend an hour as we did their $ 10 wine tasting. The $ 10 tasting entitles you to tastings of 5 different wines. They were all decent. Some of them were basic ass house reds. Others showed that they could potentially be worth the money. I don’t understand the concept of the dessert wine, but those are there for the taking, as well. We didn’t learn a thing about the grounds, or really anything beyond what foods we could pair the wines with. This’ll tell you that they are moreso interested in selling you a bottle, rather than the place as a whole. Not a place you’d go for an educational experience, in other words. Couldn’t bring any home with me as the prices for a bottle began at $ 20 and worked their way up to ~$ 50. Too pricey for me, though I suppose the 20-something male demographic isn’t exactly their demo sweet spot. The grounds were lovely even in the winter, and I can only imagine what a nice respite it is in the warmer weather. It gets crowded(we had to wait 10 minutes even in January) so I’d suggest reserving a spot, if you can, or call ahead to see what the wait would be like. I’d go back.

Our last stop on a rainy day in Cape May. Wines were okay and they had an impressive tapas menu. Nice touch. The tasting room is nicely done and I like their system of putting you on a list while you wait for a spot at the tasting bar. As usual, the person handling the tastings are well informed and friendly.

This was our first stop when checking out the various wineries in the Cape May area and afterwards we all agreed Willow Creek was our favorite. The winery was beautiful inside and out — gorgeous patio and outside bar. It was slightly hard to find but that’s probably the fault of our GPS. If using a GPS I recommend putting in the actual address and not just the name of the vineyard. As a fan of dry wines they definitely have a great selection. The Wilde Cock wines were our favorite, but none of the wines we tried left us disappointed. The apple wine was great also especially for the Fall! And if you buy a bottle of sangria it comes in the cutest souvenir growler! We were helped by Shannon, who was very friendly and incredibly knowledgable. The best wine tasting experiences are when you not only get to taste the wine but learn about it as well and that is exactly the experience we got at Willow Creek. I would definitely return for one of their many fun events like Wine & Paint Wednesdays or Fire Pit Fridays. It also would be great to take part in one of their tours because, again, the vineyard was beautiful!

Our first stop for a bachelorette party was this winery at 11am on Saturday — the idyllic drive in through the farm got me excited to sip wines in pretty scenery, and I wasn’t disappointed. We had a reservation for our party of 7, and were seated on two comfy couches right away. The tasting/event room, with wooden ceilings, glass chandeliers, and giant fireplace is the perfect place to sip wine as summer turns to fall. Our host was friendly, although I wasn’t terrible impressed with most of the wines, and she didn’t leave quite enough time between samplings as we would have liked. We ordered food, which was a great decision — the flatbread, bruchetta, mac and cheese, and cheese board were all so delicious we were pretty much scraping up the crumbs. I would honestly come back just for the food, especially because I had my eye on a whiskey cheddar grilled cheese… Overall, a really lovely place to spend a few hours. Make a reservation if you can, and prepare to enjoy a great day in Cape May!

Will never go here again. My husband and I have been to over 100 wineries, this was in the bottom 10. First, you can’t just walk up to the wine bar like a normal winery, you have to go on a «waiting list,» if there are more than a handful of people in there. So fine, we go on the waiting list thinking they must do it to guarantee you get good service and the server has time to tell you a bit about the winery. Wrong. When we were finally able to go up 20 minutes later the server was awful. He couldn’t care less about serving us. He was WAY more concerned about stocking his bar for whatever they had going on that night. He knew very little about the winery, the grapes in the wine, etc. the little he did know he couldn’t have been less interested in sharing. We waited FOREVER between the minuscule tastings because each time he poured us a tasting he would disappear in the back. And worst of all, the wine was terrible. The only redeeming quality was the grounds and that they have a real food menu although we didn’t stick around long enough to order anything. Plenty of other wineries around there have great grounds too. Save yourself a trip to Willow Creek and hit up Cape May Winery, Hawk Haven or Turdo.

Very, very disappointed with our trip to Willow Creek this evening. We have been looking forward to making our way over here for a while, and finally got around to it tonight. We called around 4:00 for a reservation and were told they weren’t taking reservations, but if we came over right away we would be seated. I thought this odd, because all their literature says to call ahead, but whatever. So we get there, of course we’re ask we have reservations, which we didn’t(the place was empty too). So we’ll just do a tasting and roll, whatever. The staff seemed as if today was their first day. All of them. Like the summer crew all left and these guys took over. It was really odd, and hard to believe that this place has been in business for more than a week. The wine was terrible. All of the wine are Cali blends with a few local grapes thrown in. The 2013 «Limited Reserve Red» was nothing more than a blend of 3 – 4 grapes, no better than a Cupcake or other $ 8.00 magnum bottle of white girl Kool Aid. Several wines we tried we were told were«just bottled yesterday.» OK, so why are you serving this today? All of the wine was much too young. I’m assuming the winery lacks the space to properly age the wines. The blackberry Merlot was like drinking a grape juice box. This place needs a lot of work, and a lot less Cali grapes. Be yourself. May try again in a few years if improvements are made. For now, Cape May Winery in Town Bank is where you should go.

The ambiance of the winery is why it is receiving two stars. The fire pit, the small town local vibe, and the scenery were absolutely wonderful. These were the only good aspects of this winery. My husband and I frequent wineries and are members at one, so we understand not all wineries should be treated equal. However, we were treated as a burden to the bar tenders at the wine tasting, we never received service at our table, and they(the staff) were pushing sangria more than their wines. A note on the wine. The best wine available(by personal preference and by price ~$ 40) was the prestige. Front forward, the wine is jammy with wonderful berry notes. The grapes taste a bit young as the flavor drops off a bit and there is no residual complexity. In the backend, you can taste notes of black cherry with a nice dry, tart finish. The remainder of the wine was either overpriced for the quality or very, very sweet. This was our first trip to this winery. We may have attended on an off night, but first impressions are everything.

Cape May is my favorite place and I have been coming here for years. This summer my husband and I came in May and in July both times we came to the Willow Creek winery! It is our new spot! When we were here in May it was a happy accident that we found it. We were lost and saw a sign. Wine tour at 1pm. It was 12:55 we pulled in and WOW! Beautiful grounds. It was the best most informative wine tour we ever did. They took us thru the fields and I learned so much about my favorite drink. Their sangria is my favorite! Fun flavors and even have a frozen version. Shannon was the best and made us feel so welcome and knew her stuff! Live jazz. Gorgeous views. Outside seatings. Chartruterie plates. Sangria. Amazing. We will be back every chance we can!

Willow Creek is adorable! Who knew that Cape May had such a beautiful vineyard? If you are spending some time in the area this is definitely a spot not to overlook. For 10 dollars(per person) you can belly up to the wine bar for a tasting. There’s plenty to choose from and you are allowed 5 wine tastes. The sweet white was crisp and refreshing on a summer day and I ended up buying a bottle to take home. Although their sangria is well known I wasn’t partial to it and thought that it tasted sort of like cough syrup. We didn’t eat because we were grabbing dinner after but the menu sounded really yum, lots of cute little tasting bites and various meats and cheeses to choose from. After a tasting inside we ventured to the outdoor area which had a ton of comfy chairs and a fire pit to sit around. They were also in the process of building another wine tasting bar for the outdoor area which will be great during the summer! The staff was super attentive and they were able to handle the large crowd at the tasting bar well. Don’t miss out if you are in Cape May, Willow Creek is a top notch winery!

Wow! Well done… well done super classy. The food menu complements the wine selection. The tour is a must before the tasting begins. Would I recommend this vineyard absolutely. Drink responsibly and stay thirsty my friends.

My girlfriends and I were surprised and impressed at how lovely this winery was when we visited in November. The space was open, very new, and cozy. They had a bar as well as a lot of chairs and tables to sit at. They are putting the finishing touches on an outdoor bar/space where I am sure they will do a ton of weddings and events this summer. The staff were courteous and helpful and recommended a few wines to sample. The tasting was $ 12 which wasn’t bad for 6 small samples of their wine. Their pumpkin wine was probably the most interesting but a few of their reds were tasty as well. I will definitely return here when I hit up the Jersey shore in the spring/summer.
