I went to BJ’s with my friend because this is where he shops. My family and I are Costco people, and this visit strengthened my reason why I will always be a Costco person. Their lines move incredibly slow compared to Costco, but at least they have free samples right? Right. However, one of the men working the brownie sample counter thought it would be alright to mock my voice. That’s not that funny, except when it’s from someone I really know. Being mocked by a BJ’s employee was rather embarrassing, but I just laughed it off. This place gets three stars from me. It doesn’t seem like a bad place to shop, but it’s just not for me.

I’m usually here at least once a week since I live close by. I prefer it to Costco because of the offerings and Sam’s due to the proximity to my house. The gas is a great value over the other gas stations on central avenue and even the Wawa, but expect to wait in line unless you go mid to late morning or late at night(9 or later). I love the staff at this location and haven’t really had any issues with them; in fact I dropped my milk in the parking lot and the container cracked open, my receipt also blew away and they gave me no hassles about getting a new gallon. However, I do agree with other reviewers about the slow factor. They could definitely open more checkout lanes and put more than one employee behind the deli counter to speed things up some. But honestly, when compared to other club stores I can’t say that BJ’s is any worse. I do find that if you go in the morning or early afternoon the crowds are lessened. I’m on my third year of membership and I will definitely continue to visit this location. You can’t beat the price of the diapers and wipes and some of the food items. Also, they mail out coupons Monthly(if you lose them they will give you another book at customer service) AND provide additional monthly coupons on racks right by the entrance. It’s a win/win!

In this location BJ’s is by far the cheapest gas. Time it right and there won’t be a line. Time it wrong and you may be waiting for 30 minutes. Tonight, the best time to go late before they close at 10 o’clock, no lines and plenty of pumps open. Always Free air. I like BJ’s gas over Costco because they take cash. Most frustrating thing is most aren’t aware that the house can reach to the other side of your vehicle. So please just pick the shortest lane. No ooooo! Not the first lane, you’re blocking the entrance.

This was my 1st visit to BJ’s so I called their customer service number to gather some info the day before. The customer service associate informed me that in order to shop as a «non-member» I would need a One Day Pass; which can be given to me at the Service Counter inside the store. And I would also be charged a 15% fee upon my purchases. The next day I arrived to the store the exact hour they opened(9am). The supervisor was very polite & enthusiastic. I asked him to direct to the service counter to retrieve a One Day Pass & he pointed me to the desk. The young lady at the service desk was also polite however what she said did not please me. When I asked her about getting a One Day Pass to shop she informed me that they do not give One Day Passes out at the counter. Customers would have to print them out from the BJ’s website. I told her that customer service representative stated otherwise. Her reaction was«what customer service?» «Who did you speak to?». I told her I called the number from the website. Of course I asked again if she could just print one out. She said no & that the only way I could shop now would be to apply for a membership card, which coincidentally happened to be a special for $ 40 fee with a 2nd card for free. Highly annoyed & not wanting to waste the drive I reluctantly applied for membership. All I wanted to do was shop there once to see if that place was for me. Not waste $ 40 on a long term membership that I will most likely not use again after this mix up.

We know BJ’s from the White Marsh area. BJ’s service in general seems to be excellent, except this one. I’m not familiar with the layout. I asked 3 different questions to 3 different employees and got the following answers. 1. Where is the Grape Jelly? Ans: Ummmmmmm 2. Where are you automotive products? Ans: Ummm, you might want to ask the supervisor over there(halfway across the store). 3. Where are the Dates? Ans: What is that, what is a date, is that a fruit? What does it look like?

If possible avoid this place. They never have enough checkout lanes open. I’ve come here a few times and it’s the same every. single. time. I recently went on a Sunday morning right when they opened… and there were four lanes open and about 8 – 10 people in each line. Lastly, the cashiers scan items like they are going to die when they are finished scanning… aka they scan as slllllllllloooooooooowwwwwwwww as possible.

It’s time to hire more weekend cashiers folks. Having one express line and three regular lines open on a late Sunday morning is pitiful. That’s the cause of the two star review. The store is barely a year old, it’s clean and well stocked; but the line and time to get out of the store is just plain sad. I have a few months left on my membership… this needs to get better if I’m to renew.

This store is ok. I did not purchase a membership. Costco and Sam’s Club have a lot more available in their stores. I think thats because the store is fairly new

This is a great new BJ’s. They have gas and many things, like a deli counter and expanded refrigeration section that others don’t have local to me. I frequent this location more now.

Very nice store. Not too many people know about it so it’s not overly crowded. Across the street there is a WAWA, Navy Federal Credit Union, Chik-fil A and Chipotle. Everything is new and they are still building a lot more. When you leave the store, it feels like you’re in Arizona or something because you’re surrounded by so much land. I can’t wait to see what else will be in the area.
