Bath & Body Works

Bath and Body Works is my downfall. I own more lotion and body wash to last me a lifetime yet I’m always looking for more. This spot is nice, the associates are friendly and helpful and not overbearing.

This store is located in the Capitola Mall by Sears and Payless, just FYI because I had to call and ask.
The associates here are so nice! I feel bad because my dumb butt did a couple of But 2 get 1 free offers when the other offer was better. I went back the next day to return and rebuy everything and the employees were so nice and helpful about it.
The store is also very well stocked and I’m glad it exists so I don’t have to drive to Gilroy!

Love the store, especially their candles, but most of the girls are WAY too pushy. They literally will not leave you alone. I was trying to take my time choosing candles, and one of the employees hovered over me the entire time, saying «Have you decided yet? How about now? Have you picked one? You should get more, that’s not enough! Ready to check out?» I understand you want to be a top seller, but enough of the harassment!

The Good Stuff:
Go for the candles. It’s a great go-​to place for those quick and easy gifts (hostess gift, Secret Santa, thank you, co-​worker you really couldn’t care less about had a birthday at the office, and you’re required to bring a gift). Also, the store is very well displayed and organized.
And Now for the Bad:
The staff is really nice, but they are SUPER-​IN-​YOUR-​FACE the entire time you’re there. There is no such thing as «chill browsing» at Bath & Body. I went in wearing my headphones with the idea of listening to an album that I’d just downloaded, and I didn’t get to hear one friggin’ song. Every step I took, there was at least one girl on me telling me how she loved that one, or how she had that one, or have you tried this one, or aren’t these gift sets so cute, or did you know if you buy a billion, you get a billion free.
And it isn’t just this store either. The one at Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey is exactly the same. I’m guessing they’re working on commission.
I love good customer service, but this place tends to make my blood pressure soar.
LOL, I Just Have to Add:
I was in the store getting gifts and stocking stuffers yesterday, and there was a customer returning some stuff. The girl at the register seemed really unfriendly towards her — not outright, but her face said it all. Must’ve been a bad day. But Christmas is the best time to come here, IMO. They have the most amazing scents.

I really like this shop, I had received some Candles as a Christmas gift, I loved them so much that I went to the store in Capitola to get some more. The store was very festive and the Sales help was very helpful, the store clean and organized. I found what I wanted and they were on Sale. I love the candles they are nicely scented, burn clean and last for a long time, what more do you want from a Candle. I would recommend this business and I have become a repeat customer…

Everything is nice and organized. But in my experience the sales associates are a little too much in your face. There is a fine line between friendly and welcoming. And being pushy and following customers around the store. I know they have a sales goal. Everyone does but let you customer shop without being hassled and if they have a question they know where to find you.

Okay, so this review is from a guy’s point of view (me)
The employees here are very nice and friendly. One of the girls (I don’t remember her name) remembered my favorite scent (Warm Vanilla Sugar) and asked if I wanted to stock up on it and I did. Everything is nice and organized. I am definately coming back and recommending this place to friends and family. I only come here when there is a really good sale (B3G3) on top of me having a coupon. This place rocks!

I enjoyed going to Bath and Body Works today. Staff was very nice. Angelica helped me find what I was looking for. I didn’t just leave happy. I also left the store with some great coupons. I haven’t been here for a while. It was nice to go to a good smelling store :) They have new lotions since last time I went. I may go again soon…
