Worst experience… paid for 60 min massage. halfway through… male worker comes in to finish massage… sends female away??? not sure why… language barrier… rough…should have demanded $ back… beware. who does that?

I was a walk in with limited time available and they did me good! Received a great back massage and the lady I saw was very intuitive. Great price as well. I was in a room where I had dim lighting, soft music and could barley hear others talking, that works well for me. im not one to «quiet my mind». That being said… I’ll be back!

Nice place. Highly recommend. Ming does a great job. Very clean. Easy parking which is a plus in Santa Cruz.

Two times is all I could stand. This place is horrible. No ceilings. Constant talking in the other rooms! The last time I went in for a hour and a half and the girl stopped after one hour and started to walk out of the room. I asked her where she was going and she told me my hour was up. She didn’t know it was an hour and a half massage. The owner only wants cash so she doesn’t have to pay taxes. She should be reported to the state authorities!

I went to the Flying Crane in Capitola. Provider had no English at all, and was poorly trained. Just a pummeling in fact and it was not balanced on both sides. I was forced to lie down on my back with my knees bent and lower leg and feet hanging over the edge into two inches of tepid water in a bucket. Flat on my back with legs hanging down??? Quite a strain on my lower back. Let me say that in China my foot massages were always SEATED comfortably and the water bath(in a larger basin) is tailored to your desired degree of heat. There is actual science and training necessary for the employees of the massage parlors in China and this is a pale, weak, poor shadow of the real thing. I’m going to shop around, maybe you get what you pay for?

Do not get the chair massage. Within a couple if mins, I knew he was not trained and was awkwardly trying to massage my back. I usually go to chinese reflexology, across the street and this was a huge disappointment. Won’t come back.

Worst, weirdest massage I’ve ever had. The slapping, pounding, and jiggling did not feel like it was doing anything productive. Conversely, the roughness of other moves hurt me. Some of my back bones(not muscles) are sore today. A back problem, which is why I went in, was aggravated to the point that I had to stay home from work the next day. The lack of proficiency is severe and causes problems. Some folks reviewing here are ok with being naked in a massage but it just makes me uncomfortable to be uncovered, especially when the masseuse is kneading my butt. And I didn’t care for my head being straddled either. The prices are good, I’ll say that, but me? I’ll just cough up a bit more cash and go to Core Fitness or Well Within. Again, Unilocal, please develop a no-star or negative star rating.

I come here about once a week, I just always forget to «check-in». I got the punch card and it is worth it in the end:) I love this place! Never a bad massage!!!

This place was awesome! My boyfriend and I came here after lounging on the beach. Their prices are really affordable. It’s 29(but they had a special) for a foot massage that apparently covers a lot more than your feet, $ 39 for a combo of 30 minutes foot and 30 minutes body, and $ 49 for a full body. We got the $ 39 combo. The staff was very friendly and led us to a nicely sectioned off double room with two massage beds. We passed by a room that was more of a common room with many beds in it, but It still seemed nice. I think this is where we would’ve gone had we gotten the foot massage package. They have you remove most of your clothes and lay under the sheet, then they come back and massage your back, neck, head, shoulders, feet, legs. It was great. There was nice ambiance and the music was relaxing. We both almost fell asleep. Sometimes you could hear little bits of conversation between the masseuse and the clients, but it was nothing bothersome. It was very clean and tasteful. I’ll definitely visit again.

I got the absolutely best massage of my life from Tracy at Flying Crane Spa. I was a little hesitant to go here, given that massage parlors did not have the best reputation in my town in the 1970s. I gave it a shot and it was exactly what I wanted. Deep massage on my oh so knotted shoulders and no New Age prattle. The price is beyond reasonable, $ 49 for an hour. I haven’t had a massage in months but now I’ve booked one every Monday.

My husband and I went here this weekend after a long day at the beach. We had such a great experience… I want to come back to the area just for another massage. We both got the foot massage which is really more like a whole body massage. The room that they do the massages in is very dimly lit and properly separated. The white noise music was very relaxing and we enjoyed the entire experience. Thank you thank you thank you!

For the record, you won’t be getting a «spa experience» or most likely anything therapeutic here. But for $ 20/hr «foot massage», the massage is just as good as any of the other comparable places up and down 41st(or other places in the Bay Area). First, you start with a foot soak while you are reclined on your back and they massage your face, head and shoulders. Then, they move to your arms, then your feet and legs, then flip you over and do your back. As compared to China Massage, where I frequented, this place is(apparently running a new-business special) $ 20 vs. $ 25. And they have a more partitioned layout that makes you feel like you have a bit more privacy vs. all massage beds in one room. They also start you laying on your back rather than massaging your shoulders while you sit up, which always seemed a bit awkward to me. Last, they also give you a hot stone massage on your legs, which is a nice bonus. I always like to bring my own lotion, so my skin doesn’t break-out with whatever they use. And, I haven’t tried the body massage, because«foot» seems to do the trick and leave me with more budget to visit more frequently. As with all other massage places, each experience seems to be a little hit-n-miss, depending on which masseur/masseuse you get and their energy level. But, I always walk out an hour later feeling a bit more relaxed, all for $ 20 + a generous tip.(For such a value, please be generous with gratuity!) So it’s all good.

Damn I forgot to finish this one! I believe this was a little less than 6mos ago, my bad. Luckily I remember my experience because it was AWESOME. My friend and I just got back from here after an hour long foot massage, which seems to also include your head, neck, shoulders, back, bum, & legs. Sooo not complaining about that! I’m very curious about what goes on with the actual body massage. I will be trying that next. This time we had gift certificates, but it said on their«menu» that this foot massage(now remember this includes YOURENTIREBODY) costs $ 29, that’s an awesome deal. Since it’s been awhile since I’ve been I’m hoping that’s still true, even though I’m going for the whole shebang next time. The room they put us in has like 6 or 8 beds in there, low lighting, I believe a fountain(? Maybe in my head there was), just chill all around. And those ladies know how to work the muscles!

I went for a the Thursday Foot massage special which is $ 20, regularly $ 24. I was hoping it was just a foot massage, but they led me to a dark room, had me lay down on a bed while my feet hung off the end into a bucket of water. The lady massaged my face, head, ears, neck, then worked on my feet. Then she had me turn onto my belly and gave me a back, thigh and shoulder massage. It was a bit too intense, but I let her know and she worked a little softer. I really wasn’t expecting the«all over» massage, just the feet, but it was good. I just have to say that the atmosphere seemed a little shady with a very feeble elderly woman all bundled up in the reception area. From other comments, she is there frequently, possibly the owners mother. Just seeing her made me feel so sad and while I was getting the massage I couldn’t get her out of my mind. I should have just left when I saw her. I’ll probably not frequent this place and pay more for a more legit place like Well Within with therapists that speak english and probably get paid well.

Pretty great massage! I got the one hour Swedish massage. A few things that reduced my star rating: 1) My massuse didn’t speak more than a few words of English– so it was hard for her to give instructions 2) There was an elderly woman sitting in the waiting area before and after my massage. I think it was the owners mom? She had tons of blankets and other things. It made me sad, like they just brought her along while they worked. Unprofessional in my opinion. Pros: I called for an appointment on a Saturday and they got me in immediately. The actual massage was great. They used a combo of pressure points and regular massage. Good value for the price. Will come back again.

From the serene entrance to the soothing massage flying crane delivers! The atmosphere resembles a posh and lovely spa with the affordable price tag. Massage was amazing! Will definitely return and would definitely recommend Flying Crane.

I am a massage fanatic. I like this place and the owner(Judy) is quite skilled, however I found their prices to be uncompetitive. I was a loyal, weekly customer, but when their Grand Opening and other specials expired, I could not afford to keep coming. I mentioned this to them in hopes they cared about loyalty and would adjust their rates to be more competitive, but they didn’t seem to care they would be losing a weekly customer.
