The people that work here, know their stuff! They’re very friendly and always recommend the best stuff for your needs. I’ve come here to buy certain supplements for a long time, and I will continue to do so. I highly recommend that you stop by and get your supplements here!

I used to be a customer here. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on suggested supplements like many other of their customers. I never thought anything of it bc I use a specific set of supplements that are only available through MM. And then I came in one day to restock and was talked into buying Vanilla drink mix. I didn’t protest bc they’ve never done me sideways. I got my two pre workout supplements plus this new one– it was a cheap rate ONLY if you bought the other stuff. So, I did. I hated it. Not my thing at all. It had a HORRIBLE after taste.
So, I went in and said, hey if I pay the difference, can I exchange it? They said no. They told me to try to sell it to someone else. ??? Seriously??? They didn’t apologize, didn’t offer me another sample of something else, NOTHING. They are not VERY friendly guys but, they know how to make you ripped. I give them an A+ for that part but, if I owned a chain, I’d try to make sure my customers left happy– especially if they are members and spend as much as I have.
I live in Santa Cruz and work in another town. I will NEVER give the SC MM my business again. I told the new MM guys about them and they said, «that’s their reputation». Seriously? To be greedy owners? You just lost a customer.
The new guys took the one I hated (ate the cost) and GAVE me the one I like– FOR FREE. That is a good businessman. Thanks to my new MM– I’m back on the road to fitness:)

Just picked up some emerge from this place. The staff was SUPER friendly and knowledgeable about what I was looking for. They also have a great selection of Walden farm products which is fantastic! I will definitely be coming back! Thanks Max Muscle!

Easily the best place to get supps and training gear in the Monterey Bay area, and with the most knowledgeable staff you’ll find at any supplement and nutrition store. They have a great selection of nutritious diet foods, supplement that will boost your performance and improve your health, gloves, wraps and gear for all types of training. The owners Geff and Sarah have decades of competition and prep experience between them, and both have helped many aspiring athletes and bodybuilders reach their goals both through their coaching and their sponsoring of local athletes. If health and fitness is important to you, then you owe it to yourself to head into Max Muscle and see how they can empower you to meet and exceed your goals!

We drive an hour to go here because it’s the best in the area. If you are a serious bodybuilder, or training like one, then they have all the key supplements and training aids for a decent price. GNC or some of the normal places just don’t offer the same selection of supplements.

If you wanna get educated in anything involving sports nutrition and/​or supplements, this is the place to go! Jordan knows his stuff! Very friendly and helpful! Don’t be fooled and buy from other sports nutrition stores because they won’t educate you, they just want your money. I like to know what and why I’m taking particular supplements on top of what the label says. Definitely try this place out!

At the end of November, I decided to get fit. Working with Chelsea Good at Max Muscle, she gave me a nutrition program that literally changed my life. I did exactly what she said, and 4 months later, in conjunction with a great exercise program (with Elliot Swan, Personal Trainer) I am in the best shape of my life.
