We really love this store! We always stop by to buy something here for fun
The volunteer ladies are so nice and friendly
The stuffs are in good condition with the good prices (not like Goodwill)

I used to visit this shop when I’d come to Capitola on the annual family vacation in the 70s and 80s. I was so glad to see that the shop is still here after all these years! Little did I realize, but St. John’s Helpful Shop has been open since 1953!!! That’s awesome!
I bought a Grenen by Skaagen stainless steel mesh watch for $ 15 and a blue and white gingham camp shirt/skirt set for $ 12. I liked the watch so much I wore it like a bracelet, even though it needed a new battery and the time was off. And whaddaya know, it fit my wrist perfectly and needs no size adjustment.
Ladies were sweet and helpful. They thanked me, and wished me a wonderful day. A very nice shopping experience, and some boss swag, too.
