I took this program in 2006 when it was held at our local REALTOR association. I was newish to the business and then in Feb 2006 I had a baby… so for several months before and a couple of months afterwards I was not working hardly at all. But it was time to get things moving, so I jumped in by signing up for this course. I knew of this program in the 80s when it was basically a cold call course. But times had changed and so had the program. They were teaching to contact your sphere and ask for referrals. Cold calling was fine, too. This program is mostly about dialogs to help you get your foot in the door with people you don’t really know. I have done multiple types of business coaching, and each has its pros and cons. Pros:(1) This program was a spaced learning program… it would teach you a concept — then give you a week to practice and then have you come back and trouble shoot and move to the next level. I liked that.(2) I also liked that it was taught by professional trainers. No, I do not need a REALTOR to train me to be a REALTOR. This wasn’t nuts and bolts of how to write a contract or sell a listing; it was how to generate business, and keep it. I had a broker I could call, other agents, too, who could help me with that. I needed business, and I needed it fast. In the classroom, I needed someone that knew how to teach. That’s what I got.(3) The dialogs work. In fact, I managed to get my very best client ever during this program. I connected to a builder through one of my family members that barely knew that builder. But, I got in front of him. And I used the dialogs taught. And I got a chance. And before you knew it, I had 32 transactions in 5 years with that builder, and a very loyal client and good friend. Sweathogs didn’t tell me how to market his property, how to negotiate a contract, how to get to the closing table. Sweathogs taught me to get the appointment and get the opportunity.(4) It will also teach you how to deal with challenging situations with clients. I used some of the dialogs I learned on my own mother! Not because I don’t care about her, but because she wasn’t listening to me(about price and presentation of the property). I needed new words. The new words WORKED. Her house sold. Quickly, as soon as she listened to me. Cons: This training addresses only one part of the process, and nothing becomes automated. When you do it, it works. When you don’t, it doesn’t. By contrast, Buffini(see other review) teaches you to train others to send you business. So, that systems becomes automatic. Even so, that system(Buffini) takes a long time to generate business. Sweathogs will get you business NOW.
