This mall is a train wreck. The only reason it’s still open is the handful of stores that managed to survive there that college kids like me frequent, like Hot Topic, Old Navy, and the newly opened Ulta. It’s almost dead inside. It’s dimly lit, it’s empty, it’s half empty. When I go, I go from point A to point B with no strolling inbetween; I get what I want and get out of there. The creepiest part is the abandoned food court. Apparently it used to be an actual food court, once upon a time. Nowadays it’s empty, except for one generic concessions stand. It looks like something out of a post-apocalyptic zombie video game. Just empty and sad. It’s fine enough if you know that you need to go to the movie theater, or a specific store you know is there. But in my opinion it’s definitely not a place to spend the afternoon. The burger place is definitely worth checking out there, though.

Best mall in Southern Illinois has main anchor stores of Macy’s and JC Penney’s also includes a movie theater and Bed Bath and Beyond has many teen/young adult stores such as American Eagle, Buckle and Hollister.

No Express, No Gap, No Abercrombie, No Forever 21, Nothing brand name. This mall has gone down like the economy. I was told they used to have many different stores, but they are all gone now. Don’t expect to find any Origins or MAC makeup at Macy’s either. The end of the mall towards Bed, Bath, and Beyond is dead. There is like nothing on that end of the mall except the movie theater. This mall really does suck.

I thought nearly every mall had a Gp, they had the Gap Outlet and Old NAVY. I don’t think you can find a GAP for 100 miles in the area. The mall didn’t have several stores I was used to. I was surprised to see many stores that didn’t look like chain stores.
