Great casual atmosphere. Outdoor dining that perfect for watching the Sunset. Outstanding signature drinks that are made perfectly. I was told by my friend that you can’t go wrong eating any of 3 meals a day here. So far Lunch, and Dinner perfect. I’ll definitely be back soon to try breakfast. You have to try the house dressing… it’s totally awesome. Wed & Thur they have ½ price sushi which was very good. The Grilled Salmon Salad & Blackened Ahi Tuna salad were great.

Came here with a group of friends for Sunday brunch. The selection was great. The staff was super friendly. Sat upstairs and had a beautiful view of the Pacific. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Cause I did not like the food. Food was very average. Nothing tasted out of this world. And very poor service. We had to wait for 20 – 30 mins for everything we ordered. Kept reminding our server n she would get distracted and start doing other things

One of the first things that will strike you about eating at Ki’s is the amazing view of the waves you get in the dining room — it mesmerizes me; it’s a great place to meet someone and talk; if you ever have a business meeting that you need a spot for. An added bonus to the location is the availability of good tasting and healthy food. They have some really delicious pancakes, and salads, and smoothies. They offer a nice mix of organic and healthy meals. It was really a pleasant treat eating there.

Where do I start with Ki’s ? Quick and the clear? Exceptional view, organic/healthy menu selection, vegan friendly and ambience is that of a friendly and happy family establishment. Note — I believe you can still get their cornbread at Jimbos() I have ate breakfast here and you can’t go wrong … The omelettes are well cooked and you can get them all egg whites. The pancakes are organic and you can get fruit… I haven’t had any because I’ve been more carb conscious in the am(I know I’m a dork) but I tell you the pancakes of the family next of me looked Dee-LISH-Uuuus… It was pretty bad everyone at their table had pancakes… I’m like really? Oh well, I was happy for them enjoying their carbs haha Atmosphere is out of this world… Right off the beach on the other side of PCH… Sitting upstairs will yield an amazing view and is it me or does anyone else also like looking at the inlet marshy sort of area behind Ki’s? I like all the scenery … Best is breakie followed by a nice walk on the beach!

My first time here– it’s been on my bookmark list for a long time! I love the fresh, healthy food and the view! Went for lunch and ordered the veggie quesadilla — full of zucchini, squash with melted cheese with a side of beans and pico de gallo. My husband had a fairly large tuna sandwich with a bowl of tomato fennel soup. While I enjoyed the quesadilla, I kind of wished I ordered the sandwich and soup! We didn’t order a smoothie this time around, but they looked really good. Hopefully we can come back soon and try them!

Friend and I dropped in for cocktails at sunset. We were worried we wouldn’t able to get a seat without a reservation. No one was at the hostess stand, but eventually someone appeared and seated us. We didn’t eat dinner, so I can’t comment on the food, but the cocktails were extremely strange. I like Moscow mules, but this was more like a somewhat related family member. Maybe a Moscow horse? My friend’s spicy margarita was definitely spicy and strong, but sadly not very delicious. Server was great, and manager(?) took care of us when there was a mixup on our order, which I really appreciated, but, man, those drinks were odd.

So apparently I can’t read. I went online looking for a place with gluten free bread or buns so I could get a sandwich or burger for dinner. My husband and I were in sweatshirts, on our way home from running errands and I saw this place on a gluten free directory. Except I looked at the lunch menu instead of the dinner menu apparently… Walked into a cute little spot with a great view of the ocean and a jazz group playing, and sat down to look at a gluten free dinner menu with no burgers or sandwiches :(Bummer. Dinner meals are much pricier here, but, props to the staff there for not treating us like the bums we looked like, sitting down to an expensive dinner. We stuck around because we were both just so hungry, and I had the top sirloin salad with horseradish dressing — super tasty. They also had $ 7 «Minted Mules» which were excellent. Also… they had $ 4 beers?! I haven’t seen a $ 4 beer since I left Wisconsin. I’ll be back, but probably for lunch sometime :)

There are multiple reasons for my 5 star review: 1. The location/view: Cardiff ocean view… ’nuff said TIP: Unless it’s raining or freezing cold, SITOUTSIDE 2. The food: Sushi fusion I guess I would call it? SOGOOD! I highly recommend the Brie, mango and avocado quesadilla, which is served looking like sushi, and is DELISH! And we took our servers recommendation for dessert and had the bourbon bread pudding… O.M.G. I’m still dreaming about it. 3. The service: Everyone is so nice, and our server, Sarah, made our celebration of my husbands birthday an absolute BLAST! It was as if we came there for stand-up comedy and dinner! Plus she has great tips on what to order there when you tell her what kinds of foods you prefer. Ki’s. WELOVEYOU…(and Sarah deserves a raise!)

Came here on a Monday. They had an all-night taco special where you go to the taco bar, and get two tacos and sides of rice and beans for $ 9. I had the blackened mahi mahi and the carnitas; both were quite good, though I liked the mahi mahi better. They came with a small dish of very fresh, very pure, very delicious guacamole, and there was a good selection of different types of salsa. They feature a particular brewery a month, and this month was Eel River. Bottles were $ 4, and we had the IPA and porter, both of which were decent. Though I tend to be more of an IPA fan, I actually liked the porter better(IPA had good flavor but not quite hoppy enough). We came around 6:30, but they have happy hour until 6:00 with other drink specials also. The entire upstairs has a gorgeous view of the ocean. We had an indoor table and were able to catch the sunset, and I am inclined to come again and sit on the patio next time.

This is a great breakfast spot. Went there today at 10AM and we had the whole upstairs deck to ourselves. Place also is very vegan-friendly. Good coffee. Plus they also have soy milk in a carafe, which you NEVER see at Starbucks. This place is about the same cost-wise as Lotus Café in Encinitas, but less crowded and a better view. Food was really good.

I went here for the first time today with my daughter and I loved it. Its a bit hidden so if your driving the coast and you’re too busy looking at the view, its across the street from the chart house. I passed it twice, haha. When we finally arrived we were famished. My daughter ordered the NamNom Bowl with tempeh, her face lit up when she saw the size of the bowl. It was nice that she had options there. I ordered the garden burger with a side salad. It was delicious! There is a bar where you self serve your water or order your drinks, there is no real waitresses except for serving your food. There is a station where you can get any extras including salsa and house dressing(which was also delicious) The seating is outdoor on the deck across the street from the waves, or inside if its cool out. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and my favorite thing about it was I had the healthy feeling kind of full when I left. I really wish my phone had not been dying, but next time I will check in for a free spring roll and take pictures of the fabulous meals. For sure, I will return.

Love this place! It’s right next to our office building that we’re working at during our stay in San Diego so we end up eating lunch here multiple times per week. Food is always so fresh and delicious and huge selection of menu items. It’s almost impossible not to get a healthy meal here. Below are a couple items I’ve had and loved: Breakfast — Raspberry bran muffin, the Kicker juice Lunch — Kale and melon salad, ahi tuna rap with side salad, butternut squash soup, ahi tuna bowl My coworkers are obsessed with the thai chicken wrap and their juices as well. Will be here again for lunch this week!

I am going to first write this review… then decide on the star rating… i really need to think this through. I really don’t ever want to slam a business… it could affect someone who is working to make a living… i hope that my opinion helps a business to improve. i’ve heard good things about this place from neighbors… a friend gave me a gift card a while back… i redeemed part of it for Ki’s because of the friend recommendation. –we entered… it smelled like dog… oh well… beachy type of place… musty smells are to be expected –we made an early 4:30 reservation(when they open) –we arrived about 4:20…they kindly sat us immediately and gave us menu’s and water. –we had a lovely table by the window with a beautiful view of the ocean. –TABLESAREVERYTINY –at 4:30 a server came to take our order… i ordered appetizers(edamame and potato skins) and asked a few questions about our dinner options… about 10 minutes later we were ready to order entrée’s and our server arrived… she took our dinner order… kids each ordered a specialty roll and hubby and i each did one of their prix fix dinners. soon after… all of a sudden… all the appetizers and entrees started showing up at once… there was no room on the table! omg… i even specified what was appetizer and what was entrée! …i sent the rolls back to be brought out with our dinners what was left on the table was edamame– meh potato skins– yum!!! salad-yum soup– meh water’s my cocktail my husbands invisible beer(they never brought it) edamame remained on the table they brought us our steaks (2nd worst steak i’ve ever eaten in my life… the worst was on Amtrak) a few minutes later they brought the kids sushi… steaks were HARD and overcooked… the entire plate tasted like vinegar(steak, potatoes and asparagus)…it was awful. at this point i wanted to leave… we had them package up the food. which we gave to our neighbors dog this morning. we had our(included) desserts packaged to go… i guess they are in the fridge… honestly i could care less… server came to get the water bottle and said she will bring us a new one… more water never arrived… no i wouldn’t ever come back… like ever… but to restate positive… staff was friendly & view was nice… they will get 1 star for each of those…2 stars total 1 star was lost because the food sucked 1 star was lost because friendly staff doesn’t equal competent staff 1 star was lost because the tables were tiny and the place just wasn’t clean(spiders in the corners and dust everywhere)

We’ve only been here for breakfast– and we’ve always walked out more than satisfied! The view is beautiful– you either get beach or train/nature views. The food is natural or organic and always tastes fresh. Pancakes are baked European style, meaning they’re not super sweet. They’re delicious! Egg portions are very generous– almost too much. Bacon was cooked perfectly and fresh fruit consisted of strawberries and bananas(strawberries were previously frozen). Muffins are yummy too with a great icing on top. The prices are great as well– breakfast averages about $ 10(not including drink) which is well worth it considering the quality and quantity of food you get.

Time to move Ki’s oceanfront restaurant up a few notches on the priority list! Ki’s offers ocean view dining experiences, fresh and healthy food options including vegetarian, gluten-free(GF) and vegan. BREAKFAST — LUNCH — DINNER(a few favorites) *CALIFORNIANOMELETTE: Onions, red & green bell peppers, zucchini, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, and jack cheese topped with avocado. Served with toast and choice of side — I went with no cheese, BLACKBEANS on the side. Be sure to grab some FRESHSALSA…$ 10.50 *MACHACA: Two eggs scrambled with shredded beef, onions, tomatoes and bell peppers served with corn or wheat tortillas, organic beans, organic brown rice, guacamole and salsa…$ 9.75 *SALMONBURGER: Fresh Salmon burger, grilled and served with Tomato, lettuce and Chimichurri sauce on a Whole Wheat Bun…$ 11.95 I haven’t been to this place for dinner, but after seeing their dinner menu(View: ) I can’t wait to come back for some fresh seafood and a sunset dinner! Only negative during my experiences — tables have been dirty on all of my visits here.

I asked my boyfriend to plan a night out for us and he picked Ki’s. Although I had drinks there over two years ago, I had never eaten here and he’d never been before. We were in uncharted territory. First, Ki’s has a beautiful view of the ocean. Even at night, you can see the waves crashing against the shore across the highway as they are illuminated by Chart House. We happened to dine here on a night with unusually large waves and it was mesmerizing to watch. For dinner, I chose the salmon in parchment paper mainly because I love salmon. However, I don’t understand the use of the parchment paper. Perhaps it’s one thing to cook the fish in the paper but the purpose of it being served still wrapped in the paper doesn’t make sense to me. It was awkward to unwrap the paper at the table and try to eat around it. The salmon was stuck to the paper and I couldn’t remove it from my plate so the paper flopped over my potatoes and veggies and I had to move it every time I wanted a bite. The salmon was cooked well though and had a nice flavor but the presentation could have been better. The potatoes were okay but needed seasoning. My boyfriend ordered the polenta with portabello mushroom. He loved the polenta and mushroom but thought it was odd that the savory dish is served garnished with sweet apples and grapes. I was quite surprised when I glanced at his plate and saw the fruit as well. Our biggest issue of the night, however, was the service. Our waitress disappeared for most of the meal and it took her about 15 minutes after we finished eating to bring us the bill. She also brought us the basket of bread about ten seconds before our entrees were served. It would have been nice to casually eat the bread while we waited instead. As a Unilocaler, I checked in at the restaurant and received a free spring roll, which my boyfriend said was one of the best he’s ever had. My boyfriend had also bought a deal. We couldn’t find anything on either of the offers that excluded the use of other offers but the waitress initially told us they couldn’t be combined. However, she did decide to let us use both and we greatly appreciated that. Our takeaway was that the food was mainly good with a few odd things but the service was the biggest downfall of the night.

it’s been awhile since I’ve been here… maybe a year or so. I was just making sure Ki’s was still at the same location and realized I hadn’t written a review. Right now I don’t remember what I had — always good. And a nice beer selection. What keeps me coming back is the incredible view. I often suggest this restaurant when dining in coastal north county. Note that parking can be problematic during busier times…

The Food & Views were outstanding! I had the Mediterranean Omelet which was packed full of grilled onions, artichokes, capers, tomatoes, feta cheese… So delicious! The cup of fruit contained fresh Blueberries, Pineapple, Melon, Strawberries. The whole grain toast was nice & chewy. My dining partners got the French Toast Breakfast & they enjoyed it… I also got a freshly juiced Green Drink… Yummy Healthiness! The Ocean Views & Breezes were so enjoyable! Note: Order as you enter below, go upstairs & choose a table, the food & drinks will be brought to you but other than that, service is minimal. You need to get your own condiments, water, silverware, napkins, etc. If you’re disabled, in a wheelchair, or have a baby stroller, you can order & then walk outside & around the building to the ramp to get upstairs. Definitely want to go back again! YUM!

Driving down the 101 looking for breakfast place this morning. Happened to fall upon this place. We ordered downstairs & looked for a seat upstairs with oceanview. We ordered the french toast combo which comes with hash browns that have red pepper in it & eggs. I ordered the red, white and blue acai bowl. It comes with granola, dried cranberries, blueberries, strawberries & coconut. delicious! The setup is weird how you order first then find a seat. Also the utensils were inside so its more of a serve yourself.
