Tattoo and Ink Studio

My best friend with to Travis for her most recent tattoo and when I decided I was ready for my first tattoo, she recommended him. I’m glad I chose him for my first tattoo. He’s extremely light handed and did a great job! Great guy and very funny. He even took some candid pictures with me for my friend. I will definitely be seeing him in a few weeks for my next one!

This was not my first tattoo, but it was my first time with Tattoo and Ink Studio. My experience with Travis was above and beyond expectations. I decided over a year ago on the design I wanted and spoke to Travis 9 MONTHS before getting it. He kept in contact with me over the months and was very flexible when it came time for me to schedule my appointment. He turned my design into a beautiful piece of art that I could never have dreamed of creating myself. He is very easy going and has an extremely calming presence, which is good when someone is drawing on you with needles for 3 hours. After the tattoo he checked up on me regularly, asking for updates and making sure that everything was still all good. That is NOT something I can say about my previous tattoo artist. I recommend him to anyone and everyone and will definitely go back to him for any future tattoos!

I had a great experience with Travis! He heard what I wanted and then gave me the perfect tattoo matching exactly the description I sent, and it looks awesome no problems, beautiful color, smooth surface. I definitely recommend him to all my fellow triathletes.

This review is a little overdue but hey, better late than never! I’ve been itching to get another tattoo for some time and decided to get one with my sister when she was in town to visit. Seeing as it would be my sister’s first tattoo, we didn’t want to get anything too big or fancy. We went to Travis with an idea of what we wanted and he took it an made it his own — and it turned out awesome! Not sure if he’s just lift handed but I barely felt it at all except when he worked on the bird. Travis has also done my husband’a quarter sleeve and wrist tattoo. I’m sure we will be seeing a lot of Travis once hubby gets back from deployment.

Travis has done 2 different tattoos for me and I love them both! One of them is a custom drawing that he went above and beyond to design exactly like I wanted. I highly recommend Travis and his work. Not to mention he is cool as f***!

Travis is a great artist and very professional. I told him what I wanted and asked him to put his spin on it and he did an amazing job. He is so great with detail and realistic art. I have already gotten so many compliments on the detail of the tattoo he did for me. He also did a great job making me feel comfortable for my first tattoo. He is personable and he connects well with people. I will definitely will becoming back to him for my next pieces. Great experience.

Travis Chatwin with Tattoo Ink and Studio is the tattoo boss! I knew once I saw his work that he was the artist for me. The problem was, he lived in San Diego and I in Yuba City. He was honored and willing to fly down here to make my tattoo come true! I am happy to say his 33^rd tattoo was my home coming queen crown that is now in ink on my lower back. For those of you who haven’t seen the pictures, my tattoo is nearly identical to the real deal! The details in the crown are more than I could ever have hoped for, it is absolutely beautiful! I now have two tattoo’s and for those of you that are worried about pain, he has the lightest hand that I have ever seen which means a lot when you are under the needle for hours! I would highly recommend Travis to anyone in the tattoo market! I have found my tattoo artist for life!

Before I ever even showed up that day to get the actual art work, Travis had been working with me to discover my vision for this piece. I have to admit that, even though I had been wanting a tattoo with this basic idea for quite a while now, I hadn’t quite ironed out the concept before we started brainstorming. Travis was so accommodating through the whole process as I brainstormed my way through different styles. Finally, I settled on the idea that the seeds floating off the main dandelion on my lower left back would morph into a flock of birds (and, specifically, sea gulls to give it that beach-​y feel) that fly up and over my right shoulder and seem to move closer to the viewer… Travis had already prepared several styles and examples for me by my appointment time and it wasn’t hard to tell that I was going to be very happy with the way things turned out on this one, the largest piece I have gotten so far!
From the very start, Travis made me feel comfortable and respected. The entire experience was as easy as could be! From appointment scheduling that was convenient and workable, artistic vision that seemed flexible and personal, and a friendly and open attitude, there is nothing that I would have changed! I am definitely going back for more work and I already have a list of friends that are lined up behind me to get work done as well! I will certainly be recommending Travis to anyone who asks and look forward to working with him in the future.

Where do I even begin! I met Travis about 13 years ago in Tahoe and he’s always been a very talented artist. When I found out he was tattooing, I just had to check it out. His incredible detail and unique style is a phenomenal combination. He completed a very meaning full forearm tattoo for my wife of sweeping oak leaves that look like she picked them up off the ground. Currently he is close to completing 4 component full sleeve on me. All the parts are distinct but in unison, he really tied them all together seamlessly. I can’t begin to tell you excited we both are about our art work. Travis took our concepts to the next level and put his artistic twist on it. Trust me, give him an idea and he will make it look incredible! No need to go anywhere else!
