Dobby Contracting

Called Mr Dobby for a job in Marion. He was originally quick to respond and willing to give an estimate. He called with a plan and although I had to wait a week for him to get to it, we put it on his schedule. The night before the job, I called to confirm he would be there and he confirmed 12. My tenant made arrangements to be home, but he did not show up. I attempted to call and text with no response until nearly 4 in afternoon. He said he got tied up at another job, apologized and rescheduled for the next morning at 9:00. I told him then that he should have called when he wasn’t going to make it because it tied up my tenants all day waiting for him. He apologized and agreed. The next morning, I checked in with tenant around 11A and Mr Dobby had not yet showed up. Again, I called and textd with no response. After hours had passed, I decided to move towards finding someone else so I sent Mr Dobby a final text telling him not to proceed with buying any materials, that I was not pleased with this no call/​no show ethic and would be going with someone else. Much later in afternoon he sent a response text saying he should have told me he doesn’t work for landlords because they never pay what other people pay. Do not waste your time trusting this guy with your time or property.
