So I normally would not do this BUT I am so upset I have to. I call Gino’s in town before 5:00, I orders a salad, 2 reg slices and chix fingers… nothing crazy. Girl tells me 45 min. Fine. 6:30 still no food which my 2 little ones are starving now. I call to ask if food left girl says wait I will check while some man in background says food left. Okay it’s Friday night I understand the longer wait. At 7:30 still No Food. I call again some rude nasty guy gets on the phone and tells me some story that the driver went to the wrong house and people paid for food they never ordered(I hope they get the runs for eating my kids dinner). The owner said what do you want me to do all nasty. I will never ever ever order there again. Such a disgrace Deserve –5 stars

Grabbed a quick slice here. Standard pizzeria, that serves solid tasting food. Good: –Buffalo chicken slice –Chicken parmesan slice –Parking lot helps in an area with limited street parking Bad: –Slices are smaller than normal

The pizza is ok for Long Island, but the chicken Parmesan hero is very good. If you want a slice that will make you content this place is good. It is very small inside, so most people take the food to go!

Pretty good neighborhood pizzeria. They have pastas, soups and other yummies on the menu. I was staying at the homewood suites and took An über there. The staff is very friendly and inviting. Pizza slices are about $ 3.50, soda $ 2 and ziti about $ 9. Credit card min is $ 10. Kid friendly too! Try it out!

Three stars is pretty accurate. Not bad but nothing special. Not sure how long they’ve been around but there were no Unilocal photos so I made sure to take some. The guy at the counter was super friendly. I just grabbed one plain slice to check it out. It was super hot. I let it cool down a bit so I wouldn’t burn the roof of my mouth because we all know how much that sucks! The slice was $ 2.50, for that price I think it was on the small side but that is indeed the average price for a slice around these parts aside from a few in Westbury that have $ 2 lunch special slices. The crust was on the thin side and slightly crispy, so far so good. The sauce was good and I could taste some of the spices. There was a decent amount of sauce. A bit light on the cheese and the cheese also wasn’t very salty. After the third bite the grease started to pour down my hand. Reach into the bag to grab a napkin. Nope, no napkin. There’s plenty of parking in the lot so that’s a plus. Finding parking on Westbury Ave could be a real _____. Even when I do park on Westbury Avenue I always worry about my mirror being smashed because the lane is pretty tight for a two way. Will I be back? I’ll take«places I will probably forget by tomorrow» for 500 Alex! Yes, that’s my final answer.

Phenomenal slice of regular! Personally I judge a pizzeria on two items before I venture out into the depths of their menu, The first is their regular slice. I will point out immediately that Gino’s of Carle Place has the most delicious slice within a 5 mile radius. Plenty of competition in this radius, granted regardless this pizzeria deliver’s in supreme fashion on their slices and pies of tasty great regular. The second thing I look for, the fresh baked bread. While simple enough the bread basket that is presented either as a hold over before a meal or an inclusion dish ordered can speak volumes about what else the menu may bring in terms of expectations. If you can’t get the regular and the bread right then you don’t have a prayer’s chance of survival in the endless sea of great pizza that exist on the Ile of long stretching from The Brooklyn Aquarium to the Teddy Roosevelt House. This place has filled the void in a market once filled with a bevy of pizzerias that excelled in so many more things then just pizza. Sadly. Even the most reputable have declined in recent years in service and execution while Gino’s of Carle Place has maintained a consistency in their slices that is just marvelous. I had moved out of this neighborhood for about a year and missed it. When I returned and sampled everyone. This spot has the best fresh slice and pie of Regular. I have had a few other items Shrimp, Chicken, Veal, Potato’s + Egg, Hero’s as well as the chicken rolls, wings and once some kind of delicious Easter Bread type of Pizza/Roll.(if you had an Italian Grandma then you may know it as(Beat-sad-yen). All were solid. But my recommendation is the Regular, and while a simple enough task to make… seemingly. This spot has the among the best, most delicious slice I have ever had. If they closed I would frown with the saddest of frowny faces. 4 Stars because as one reviewer mentioned the guys(brother + brother, or cousins) one is more portly than the other; are not super inviting or friendly.

Yeah I feel the need to start my review while my pizza is cooking. I came at 8:25 and the guy was like we close at 9:00. I’m like yeah cool, are your ovens still on, is it okay if I order a fresh pizza. I’ve had a long day and only came here because my concierge at the hotel recommended this place and gave me a menu… So right off the bat this guys pissed I’m ordering a fresh pie and not one of his slices in his window that have been sitting there who knows how long… I’ll eat my pie and wings and finish the review after to be fair… Finished them, they were great. The food speaks for itself, I had a Pizza and wings and they were delicious. I’d give them a higher rating, but seriously the guy wasn’t very friendly. My advice to him, just remember there are 100 other pizza places on long Island, why not try to be exceptional… rather than an asshat !

I don’t want to trash this man’s business, I stopped in today and he seemed hard at work. Sure the place has water stained ceiling tiles, old ass tables and chairs but its still better than Dominos across the street. I bought (1) bottle of Pepsi (1) White Slice (2) pepperoni pin wheels All for $ 10 bucks. That’s a pretty good deal in Long Island. The pizza was a little doughy but it filled bellys nevertheless. Your call, I’m saying it was a nice white slice

Indeed, Unilocal’s 2 star rating«Meh, I’ve experienced better» is exactly how I feel about GIno’s of Carle Place after visiting it a good few times. It’s good for the casual slice on the way home from the LIRR station, but there are much better options around.
