First time here. We got some bread and it was good. I have eaten calamari many times before, but never Sweet Chili Calamari. It was pretty good. Then I had the Veal Marsala and spaghetti. The veal was decent. The portion was certainly large enough. Finished it off with coffee.

No complaints, the pizza was good. Ordered a pepperoni pinwheel and a buffalo chicken pinwheel, both were excellent. I have never seen a buffalo chicken pinwheel, and it was delicious.

So sad that a place I have enjoyed has disappointed me so much. I live very close but needed delivery today. I ordered at 1:24 one pie half pepperoni with salad. The online receipt(through Grub Hub) said eat arrival would be 2:25 — 2:35. Although this was disappointing for a pizza place to take that long that’s five minutes away, I let it go and waited. When 2:35 came and went I got annoyed. I called and got nothing but excuses. It was oddly busy I was told. Not my problem when I’ve already waited so long. When the food arrived at 3:04 it was cold and wrong. I went back to the drivers car and asked for him to bring back another correct pizza. Then by the time he came back with the correct pizza it was around 3:45. I’m less than 5 minutes away! And to top it off the pizza was barely warm. If this place wants to offer delivery then they should staff properly. There are far too many other pizzerias around to chose from. Sad I have to say good bye the this one.

Only giving two stars because I’m sure the pizza was good when it was hot, but I didn’t receive it hot. And I don’t think that it’s necessarily the restaurants fault. The delivery kid pulled up in a white car with very dark tinted windows and sat in front of my house a full 5 minutes before he got out and when he did get out he had girls in the back seat laughing hysterically. Made me wonder what was done to my pie before he gave it to me. And I used grub hub to order so he had already received a $ 5 tip which was excellent considering all I bought was a large pie. Did he thank me for it? No… I was gonna cut the kid a break and not complain about him but as time went on, it bothered me… a lot!

I went here yesterday. I ordered a slice custom slice. The guy at the counter forgot about me and my order and gave it to some kid(served it to him at his table in the dining room.) He then took the slice from the kid and served it to me like nothing had happened(he didn’t offer me a new slice). Its illegal to serve the same food 2x at a restaurant and the Nassau County be Board of Health should get down here asap. I’m done with this place.

First off, this is a pizzeria with a dining room. That’s fine but why seat me in the pizza slice side of the place when there’s ample room in the dining room? Pet peeve of mine… Anyway a polite request to move gets us in the dining room. So. Service is fine. Portions are HUGE! Food is… ok. Not great. Not bad, just… meh. Over cooked sweet chili calamari is rubbery, but well seasoned. Enormous stuffed artichoke is very lemony. Eggplant rollatini, lasagna and chicken Parmagiana are pretty standard but there sure is a lot of it! You can definitely put this on your list if your really hungry for the basics. Again, it’s by no means bad, just… ok.

We ordered the large Sicilian pizza with ham and pineapple. The pizza arrived within about 40 minutes after I placed the order. I’m not sure what the hype is all about regarding this place. The pizza had very little sauce, cheese, and toppings. It was 95% dough and lacked flavor. Sadly, with so many pizzerias around here, Louie’s is a «one and done» in my book.

Baci Café was always my favorite spot in Westbury/Carle Place, but we hardly ever went because of the crowd and parking situation. I never need to go again! Louie’s portions are gigantic, but the prices are so reasonable. Everything is DELICIOUS, but I always get Rigatoni Fiorentina with zucchini noodles.

This place is fantastic, I have now been there 3 times and each time it was as good as the last, gotta love consistency. Start with the stuffed artichoke appetizer, it might be the best thing on the entire menu, and the menu is extensive, the name is misleading– sounds like a pizza spot. The pizza is decent, but the restaurant part is what you need to try. After the artichoke I have now tried several entrees and the taste is incredible and the portions are insanely large, not once have i come close to finishing my meal, I always have to take some home. Chicken parm was great– 2 huge pieces of chicken smothered in an excellent sauce and hot cheese. chicken Vesuvio was a special last time I was there, grilled chicken covered in spinach, broccoli and mushrooms, all grilled very healthy! very fresh! Shrimp Oreganata is probably my favorite dish so far, the garlicy, buttery, wine splashed breadcrumbs over the large shrimp is delectable.

This restaurant is very good. The interior is gorgeous and clean and the food is divine. The classic Italian taste was dominant in these dishes. Strong garlic and herbs were present in all of the plates, which is desired by people who typically like Italian food. The restaurant seemed to be short-staffed but the wait between courses was not long. They accepted the groupon we had purchased and were gracious while doing so. The appetizers and main courses were large in portion size. The prices are a tad bit high but nothing extreme considering the portions were fit enough for at least two people. Great for eating in or just grabbing a slice on the run! I will definitely be going back to this restaurant again.

First time here, enjoyed it soooo much. Nothing we tried was bad. Artichoke as an appetizer is a must!!! I also had the shrimp oreganata which was even better than the artichoke which I didn’t think would have been possible after the way it tasted. Pizza on the other side was delicious. Kids menu was great with a great price. Overall an excellent place to eat and a great place to bring the family. Great prices, excellent quality. Service was a little slow but wouldn’t stop me from coming back. I will be back for sure.

So glad that a friend introduced me to this place. Their weeknight pasta specials(Monday-Wednesday) give you a lot of food for a great price, and everything I’ve eaten here tastes great. Last night I took my parents here and they were very happy to find this place. We had/enjoyed the stuffed artichoke appetizer, fried calamari arrabbiatta, and each ordered a dish from the pasta special menu. Each pasta special order comes with salad and dessert(a cannoli or a slice of NY cheesecake). I chose whole wheat pasta instead of the regular penne with my penne/eggplant/fresh mozzarella dish. Note: the fried calamari arrabbiatta comes mixed in with the sauce. If you’re like us and you prefer the calamari separate, make sure you say sauce on the side. We used to order fried calamari arrabbiatta from papparazzi when it was still open, and it always came out crispy with the sauce on the side. We were expecting the same from here.

Sat down as a party of 5 to have some pizza and pasta. I got the sweet Chilli chicken pasta and the white pizza. Both were great and I would probably come back here to get either of the slices if around the area. It cost about $ 7 with tax and tip since we sat down.

I really like this place for inexpensive but tasty Italian food without the pizzeria feel. It is not fancy by any means, but the dining area is modern looking and is separated completely from the pizzeria area of the restaurant by a wall and a separate door entrance. There is booth seating as well as some regular tables. They serve pretty large portions, and the food is delicious! The service is extremely professional and attentive, and the owner(I believe) who walks around is very pleasant. This has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants to dine at in the area. My boyfriend and I are able to have a great dinner here in all respects and look forward to returning.

This is one of my favorite pizza spots in the area. They are located in the same strip mall as Barnes and Noble and Stop and Shop, so I have to admit I am a frequent customer of this place. They tend specialize in specialty slices/pies rather than plain pizza. My favorites are their sausage and peppers slice, buffalo chicken slice, chicken parm hero and on a plate with spaghetti and the rice balls. The slices are very flavorful and hold lots of cheese, which I love because too many places are holding back on the mozarella these days. The heroes are HUGE!!! I have never been able to eat the entire thing is one setting and they have LOTS and LOTS of cheese and sauce. I love it. Although I always get my food to go, they do have a seating with table service. Maybe one day I will try it out. The staff is very friendly.

Finally a very good plain slice. I was beginning to think that anything above decent didn’t exist in the area. So far the only to come close in my opinion is Raimo’s and Vito’s, I may like this better but I will have to taste it a few more times to judge. The restaurant is nice and it’s located on the outer skirts of the Country Glen shopping center. It was a little hard to find at first but I managed. It’s the type of place you can grab a to go order but also wouldn’t mind sitting down for a bite. The menu prices are on the higher side of what you would expect a local pizzeria to charge. The prices of a slice are okay but the meals are closer to the $ 20 range, also $ 6 for a slice of tiramisu is outrageous. They really should get some deals going for lunch specials. Annoyances: The take out bag was stapled like a million times with a heavy duty stapler. By the time I got it open it looked like a cat had clawed through it. There goes the idea of putting half back in the paper bag to eat later. Likes: The hero’s are boxed so they don’t fall apart! I got the shrimp parm. It almost looked like a bread bowl with sauce, shrimp, and cheese filling. They did not hold back with the cheese either. Yummy! The bread was super fresh, warm, and crusty and moist on the inside from the sauce. Overall I am happy with my meal and will be back to try the specialty slices.

No-frills casual family style Italian joint — I’m into it. I came here with a friend on a Saturday night, Valentine’s Day, no less. There was no wait whatsoever without a reservation, and more than half the place was empty. Dina(or Dana?) served us and she was friendly and helpful! First of all, the bread basket they bring out is bangin’. There was one pizza-style and I couldn’t get enough of it. I ordered the baked clams and the salmon bruschetta salad. Both were great. But I’m deducting a star because the salad was drowning in dressing, which made it a bit unpleasant to eat, and another star because it’s overpriced. A salad and baked clams for more than $ 25 is no bueno. However, I’d return to try some of the pastas.

Anyone who has been here knows that the staff are very friendly and helpful, the only downside is sometimes they’re impatient when you’re making a decision, even when there’s no line! They have so many choices behind the glass covered counter and on their menu, no wonder it’s hard to make a decision! Everything there looks yumm and fresh, even the things I cannot eat due to dietary restrictions. The joint itself is super clean, haven’t noticed any bugs nor vermin nor other hazardous elements. They are quite accommodating with your selection. For example, one time, I was seriously craving my favorite soup from Mike’s Pizzeria but wasn’t in the mood to travel that far for some chicken totellini soup. So, I asked them to combine their tortellini in their chicken noodle soup instead of the noodles, and they did.(Mike’s version is still better, btw). The other reason why I gave this place three stars, was that I went in asking for the hot chicken noodle soup and three slices of pizza which they warmed up in their oven. I asked them to make it super hot because of the cold cold weather!(Went, this past Wednesday(11−12−14).) By the time I reached home(five to ten minutes after receipt of my order), everything felt like it was refrigerated. There was no way that they actually put the pizza slices in long enough nor was the soup fresh. The chicken was rubbery and TOO chewy. And, perhaps it wasn’t cooked long enough because the carrots were still hard. I have been to Mike’s Pizzeria numerous times last winter and would have to commute 30 – 60 minutes home, depending on traffic, I have had no issues with the food being super cold by the time I reached home. As far as their real foods… like platters/entrées, I haven’t had any yet. I would like to give one of those a try sometime. Overall, this place is wonderful and a treat. I am in love with their White Pizza — which, btw, it tastes so much better cold; it’s like eating cheesecake! but without all of the sugar! Happy eats!

Tucked behind the oversized Barnes and Noble looming in front, Louie’s can easily be missed but the enticing smell of fresh pizza wafting toward you may draw you away from the B&N conglomerate to a homey, Italian pizza joint. My friend was famished so she ordered a gooey cheese slice and warm garlic knots. I had a few bites and they were flavorful, hearty mouthfuls.(3⁄5) It wasn’t spectacular and they could have drained out some that oily grease. Peckish but not ravenous, I ordered a crispino slice which they heated in the oven to become this melty awesomeness. The tomato slices added were a refreshing addition and the peppery basil gave a light herbaceous lift to my pizza slice. $ 3.75 for one slice is a bit ridiculous though!(3⁄5) I probably won’t come back unless I’m truly starving and the Starbucks at B&N is down. Starbucks is overpriced c**p anyways.
