Salon Beyond

First let me start with how I came to Salon Beyond. A couple of years back I needed a cut and living in Manhattan at the time I didn’t greatly have. Apple that could provide me with what I needed on Long Island. I was searching for a place and came across Salon Beyond, even though they were busy they still were able to squeeze me in with Lauren (more on her later). This all occurred at the old location but first and foremost Lauren took the time to truly understand what I wanted. I will be honest I am a difficult customer I’m 100% sure of that. I am not very patient and want my hair styles a very specific way. Lauren was 100% patient with me and made sure my haircut and styling came out exactly how I wanted it. I couldn’t of asked for anything more, well actually a nice glass of Scotch couldn’t hurt (just kidding. Once I left Salon Beyond I couldn’t recommend it to enough people and I could y recommend Lauren to enough people, she was truly amazing.
Fast forward to today and for all of those who are living under a rock and did not know they moved. I honestly like the new place way better I love the cozy feel and I love the setup. This place must have a better ventilation system as well since you barely, if any at all, smell the chemicals. The new place also looks way nicer, well mainly because it’s new.
Other then the aesthetics of the new place you are getting exactly the same service with the same great people. I still go in every few week and get my hair cut and styles by Lauren and very single time she does a perfect job. I also enjoy my time in the chair because Lauren pays attention to me and we discuss a variety of different topics other then my hair.
So as I have said in the past and as I will continue to do in the foreseeable future.

I found Salon Beyond when I needed a last-​minute haircut for a wedding weekend while my barber was away on vacation. I called and told them my situation and even though they were pretty busy, they were able to squeeze me in with one of their stylists — Lauren. I was a little nervous about trying someone new but she was wonderful and accommodating. Haircut came out just like I’m used to and I couldn’t be happier! I’d certainly recommend Lauren for all your hair and styling needs without hesitation!

As I first time customer I didn’t have any expectations. I received a call at 1130 advising me that my 1230 appointment for a mani/​pedi would be closer to 1pm as the technician was running behind. I arrived at the shop at 1pm and at 120 the receptionist advised me that the technician was «wrapping it up». What could be so unique about a basic mani/​pedi that I would wait an hour for? I dont expect this location to survive the competition.

Been to their old location in garden city and was not super impressed. I asked for a shade lighter than my dark brown hair and ended up with orange hair and paid $ 300 for it. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I tried them again at their carle place location. I simply asked for jet black hair, cut and blow, it took me four hours to get out of there. I had color all over me and my «stylist» passed over my blow dry to a new girl that took 40 minutes to blow out my hair and I honestly could have done better. Additionally, for $ 160 I should have been informed that the black dye they used was semi permanent. I found out the hard way when it wouldn’t stop washing out of my hair for 3 weeks.
Will not return.

It’s funny that they would make you feel that they are doing you a favor and would «try» to squeeze you in into their so busy schedule when you call for an appointment. yet the service does not even uphold the hype. Attention to that girl in the front, no not Moselle, the other snutty one. please you work as a Receptionist at a small town Beauty Salon, not Sally Hershberger so get over yourself
All their stylist look all made up and look professional but the one who did my hair failed miserably, let’s just say that she has no idea how to color hair, my hair end result; 3 color blotches and had to travel 2 hours to have it repaired by my old hair dresser. they are new in Carle Place and thought to give this place a try., never again.
FYI, though they say they accept credit card, they would tell you that their minimum is $ 50, who does that? Yet they have the ATM machine ready smh, so that means they prefer cash! I sure hope they file their form 8300 accordingly.
