They offer great deals on many products that I want and are cheaper then other places. This is one of the best places to buy hamburger and hot dog buns.

Aldi business model is to buy the top 200 items people buy in a supermarket, and sell these items primarily from a pallet, where possible. No credit cards, deposit for shopping cart, limited hours, limitd staff, self bagging, this is green shopping. Items are not near sell by date, because they limit the number of items they sell, turn over is usually pretty fast. If items do get close to sell by, they are sent to B&B same way Wegman and the War college commisary do. Aldi I think is a German or Dutch company, also owns the very popular Trader Joes. Think what a Trader Joes could do for Carlisle.

Aldi is the place in Carlisle, PA if you’re looking for the cheapest, almost close to expiration food that you can possibly find. It’s great for a small town like this because it needs a store like this. The selection for this place is all over the place and you can’t bet on one thing being there from week to week, but if you’re in a bind or just down on your luck, then this is the place for you. It’s located in the brand new shopping center in Carlisle, next to the Target and Kohl’s, so it can be easy to overlook. Helped me out when I was looking for Garlic Bread. Wasn’t the greatest in the world, but it did the trick.
