An absolute gem of a restaurant tucked in downtown Carlisle. The food was outstanding: harira, couscous and the tagine dishes were all fantastic. The staff was attentive and genuine. I even got to meet the chef-it’s evident this place loves what it does, and it shows in the cooking! I’ll be back again, and I’m telling anyone who will listen.

My fiancé and I went to Argana on a Saturday night on the recommendation of our B&B proprietors. Great ambiance! There were couples enjoying quiet conversation and larger parties laughing and having a good time… The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the tables impeccably set. Our server wasn’t overly attentive, but I’m willing to overlook the service because the food was so good. I highly recommend the harira(chick pea and lentil soup seasoned with herbs and spices). Then there is the bastilla– phyllo filled with chicken, eggs, onions, roasted almonds and parsley, then sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinnamon. It’s like eating dessert as an appetizer– awesome!

Took a few more friends to Argana on Friday night, and wasn’t disappointed! Delicious food, great people, and good times. It’s BYOB and the food was amazing again. Really nice atmosphere. They said they’ll have bellydancing every Saturday from this point forward, so that should be cool. I had Vegetarian Cousco

Decent meal, good service, and okay ambiance. Portions were smaller and the prices were a little higher than the area but for something different in Carlisle it’s a good spot. They had a henna artist there giving free tattoos which was pretty neat, and BYOB is always a plus for large parties. The couscous, kabobs, and briwatt were all tasty.
