I have enjoyed many, many great breakfasts over the years in this little hole in the wall. I love it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal at a fair price in An old fashioned mom and pop style eatery. It’s by no means fancy, and that’s the point. You are getting what you paid for… Good food. If you want the same old same old corporate designed joint then this isn’t for you, but if you want an interesting step back with possibly the best breakfast you’ve had since grandma was alive; then pop on in and bring a couple friends.

How many eateries claim ‘homemade’ cooking and mean it? Found this place driving from Naples, Fl to NYC. Refreshingly good food(coleslaw was indeed homemade) and the prices were less than any chain restaurant.

We go there every Friday we are in town for the baked haddock. Comes with either the butter or tomato sauce and 2 sides. The mac and cheese and stewed tomatoes are excellent! Priced right and friendly small town service!

Not fancy, not right on the beaten path in town but what a nice, clean, good food place. Felt like we were back in the 50’s. Waitress was very pleasant and made you feel welcome. We sat at a table that had just been cleaned and you could smell clorox slightly, which is fine with me. Local clientele. Basic food. I had the lamb gyro with mac and cheese. My wife had a greek salad. Both were excellent. A great place for a good quality, not fancy meal at a decent price.

I grew up in Carlisle. My grandfather came here at least three times a week for breakfast. In his final years, whenever I came home for a visit, I would have breakfast here with him and my mom. Since he passed, Mom and I continue the tradition. Being here makes me feel like I can still spend a little time with him. The inside is like the interior of a home from the 50’s or 60’s that time sort of forgot. Some good and bad waitresses, but a family run business that I am happy to support. Kathy is the best. Every time I am home, she makes me fresh baklava. There are only a few things I miss about Carlisle, this place is one of them.
