The Concealed Carry class was very good. The instructor Mark was very thorough and gave perspectives that I would not have thought of. The class gives you a real sense of the moral and legal gravity of carrying a concealed handgun, and shows you what you need to know and he mindset you need to hold in order to do it responsibly.

I attended the Concealed Carry class several weekends ago. This was an excellent class. Mark is a top notch instructor with a great teaching style. He has a military-​like bearing while having fun with the information. I was impressed how he could «break down» each topic for even the most novice of us in the class. I left understanding the grave and serious nature of what it means to carry (and conceal) a firearm. Whatever subject he was discussing seemed to always go back to situational awareness and common sense. The course was extremely efficient finishing in just 4 hours. You take a short test and are provided with a certificate and the appropriate paperwork to submit for a conceal and carry permit.

The instructor was engaging, informed, and this company does a great job of teaching you about the responsibilities that accompany holding a concealed carry permit. You take a short test at the end of the class and if you pass, can receive the certificate.

Last night was my first interaction with Mark Warner and Liberty Firearms, and I must say that it was a great experience. As a basic requirement to obtain a concealed carry permit as a VA resident, you must complete a competency course issued by a NRA certified instructor. After looking at several classes that would meet the requirements, I settled on Liberty Firearms because of the great cost and frequency of available courses.
I am not new to firearms or concealed carry, so my expectations were very low going into this class. Once Mark started, I was very impressed by his knowledge and presentation style. Firearms are a complex subject when it comes to state and local law that is usually hard to clearly answer without pouring through vague statues and codes or speaking with an attorney.
Mark did an exceptional job walking through the responsibility, morality, awareness, training and resources for novice shooters to determine if owning a firearm would be right for them. I felt more knowledgeable and confident regarding local gun laws than I did before his class, and certainly plan on taking his advanced concealed carry class to learn more. I understand that Mark is not an attorney and can only give his understanding of the law, but it is a very solid base to work from and verify for myself.
All in all, I was very happy with this class and Mark’s professional approach to firearms. He is a valuable instructor who has the knowledge and experience to educate firearm owners so that they will be safe and confident in their ability to operate a handgun. I would highly recommend Liberty Firearms to friends and family of all ages who are considering buying and carrying personal defense pistols.

My Wife and I both attended the course and thought Mark was a great instructor. I already had my license but wanted my wife to also go through a course. I found that Mark covered a great deal more than the course I had taken previously. He doesn’t just tell you what is required but really makes you think about the moral questions behind concealed carry. I would recommend this course for anyone no matter what your familiarity with guns.

I recently attended Mark’s Introduction to Concealed Carry course and found it to be very informative and engaging. Not only did Mark provide detailed instruction and demos on topics such as Rules of Gun Safety, Types of Handguns, Holster Options, Proper Care & Maintenance, etc., he also reviewed reasons why someone would want to conceal carry, instructing us on situational awareness scenarios, etc. I would highly recommend this course for anyone wanting to learn more or as a refresher on conceal carry, no matter their experience level. The course was to capacity, equal number of men and women and all age levels (above 21). I was so impressed with the class that I signed up for the Home Defense Course as well.
