Do NOT use this company if you are an out-​of-​town landlord unless you have some personal connection with them. They rented my home to 3 unrelated adults with 2 children, refused to provide any information on renters; said they could not pass the credit check but were «good tenants.» The tenants broke the door, light, garage (twice), dishwasher, disposal, misused the washer and complained of the unfinished basement, trying to get me to redo it, threatened to cut down a tree, required spraying for spiders (normally people dust here), ants and kept pushing for repairs which were recommended to them by Sterling. Instead of clearly explaining to the tenants that they would be financially responsible for unnecessary repairs Sterling chose to terminate the property management agreement after collecting for the entire year. Mr. Adler would not answer any letter, email or call, and the women in the office are hostile and rude. Now, I’m stuck with tenants who won’t leave, are uncooperative and who may damage my property. Sterling got their annual fee and I totally lost out! Find someone else.
