When I first moved to town I thought this newspaper would be a great way to connect with the local community; unfortunately, I now realize it is a local «National Enquirer» with news stories that are based on gossip, misquotes and misinformation ALL the time. If locals from Cumberland County want a paper with actual facts, decent writing and is worth paying for, try a different local paper. If you want a paper that chooses a target of the day to defame and print gossip, then this is the paper for you. Opinion pieces are fine in an editorial section but using opinion pieces as news is horrendous journalism.
